No way PS2 version was released in 2004. 2005 sounds more accurate.Originally Posted by Auspice

Still a long way to go...
Yes, the PS2noobs flooded the game in 2004, much to the veteran PC players' dismay. That was the day that we knew what it felt like to be Japanese.

492 days and rising. .-.
Ps2 since 04, lol. My comp can't handle FFXI D:
Hey my topic is automatically updating, sweet.
So 5 days from now....
...this thread will no longer be called "So 5 days from now....".
...
It was originally named "so 9 days from now..." but I got the super special automatically updating topic name.
I know, why I say in 5 days (or even tomorrow?) it'll be renamed again.Originally Posted by Ryko

Wow, didn't know it was just under 4 months from NA PC to NA PS2 launch.
Blows a hole in the "I've been playing this a lot longer than you" argument that I get from some of the NA PC launch folks I know.
Except we all had 4 months more than you?Originally Posted by Max™
4 Months =/= What they make sound like years of experience.
I figured from the way they were trying to justify things with "I've been playing longer" that maybe the PC launch was a year or so earlier than PS2, but damn, what did you know by your 4th month in? What exactly has that head start given you in terms of miraculous wisdom?
The argument generally comes up when I try to explain things to people (generally when they've asked a question, or commented on someone asking one) like why you would want to use say, Fuma shooz to TP in when you're at 9% haste already, over hume RSE2 feet, about how each point of haste tends to be worth more than the one before it, and that generally unless you're starting at 0% haste, 3% will do more during TP phase than 3 Str and 3 Dex, even for a 2h job such a Samurai.
To which I get a "well, I've been playing for a lot longer than you, and I think this works, so whatever."
