Alky drop rates

I was wondering whats the drop rate of the pop item to pop alky and what was the drop rate for the gloves. Of course both as approximiations. atm im 0/40 on the pop item for alky :/

Just wondering if this is worth the time farming. Or should I just farm it when I want to level my npc up.

I spent a week there with no alky pop item droping. Averge one hour and 30min each day. While there I've seen the same RMT group pop alky twice within 30mins. THF with TH knife is a must or else, don't even bother.

Well I on the other hand get a pop item for Alky in about 30-60 minutes most of the time when I go after him (fastest 2nd mobafter arrival, slowest after approx 70 minutes). Currently 1/8 on Alky (I do this as PLD/RDM solo or duo with a RDM friend of mine). So in my experience it feels the pop item is fairly common and the droprate on Alky himself is so~so.

Usually I can get an Alky pop item within 20 minutes or so, with TH4. Sometimes I won't get one for over an hour, and sometimes I'll get two in a row, it's always hit or miss.

The bracelets themselves I'm like 4/14 or something like that.


On another note, I'm around 0/35 on Pallas bracelets, lol...

I usually get a pop item about every hour and a half to two hours. I get more Pallas pop items sadly. Couple nights ago I got 2 Bucklers within 30 minutes. Tried last night and didn't get a single Buckler in about 3 hours. It's probably not worth your time unless you have a thief with you (or you are a thief) and even then the drop rate from the NM's themselves is pretty bad. I believe I'm 0/13 on Alky and 2/20 on Pallas and that's with TH4.

My friend and I farmed him for about a week back when he was first changed and went 2/5 on drops from Alky, with decent success farming the shields (usually about one an hour or so, with TH3). After a few months had passed we decided to go back again. We spent about a month there and in the end went 0/20 on bracelets, with shields taking 3-5 hours to drop on average. You can have pretty good luck with him, or you can have really shitty, abyssmal, horrible luck with him. All depends on how lucky you feel.

Yea it's about so-so drop rate, I'm about 2/9 on him. The shield can range from good to bad, it's kinda like farming water with the drop rate of an o. kote.

I've had absolute horrid luck. In probably a total of 72ish hours of farming, I've only gotten 9 bucklers and went 0/9 on every pop.

1/3, haven't pushed my luck since. Pop item drop rate is horrid. I must have made enough gil from the direct gil drops to buy Pallas's Bracelets trying to farm P/A pop items.

Myself and a friend duo'd there to get our own bracelets. We got extremely lucky. First day there, buckler dropped on 2nd mob, popped alky and it dropped bracelets. 1 down within 15mins 1 to go. Unfortunately, farming every day for the next 6 weeks was how long it took to get the 2nd pair We went about 1/7 on the 2nd pair and the buckler was hard to get. This was way back in the days when they first changed this tho and it was rmt infested so impossible to claim mobs. Went up there the other day, only people there and got 2 Pallas and 1 Alky pop within the hour. No drop on all unfortunately. In my time farming I think I am 2/10ish on Alky and about 5/20 on Pallas. Drop rate on pop item does suck tho.

0/19 on Alky. Im gimping it out in Pallas until I can get drop or I just abandon hope on alky completly.

I tried with TH3, TH4 before on alky and pallas, both were like 0/10s and 0/30s

To me, the trigger drop rate is quite fustrating too. With TH4, sometimes the pallas trigger were dropping like rain where the you can get 3-4 in 15minutes... well for the alky, the trigger never been good for me. Usually 2 in an hr, then the next one will be 3-4 hrs... but more important, both pallas and alky never drop -_-

I either don't get a drop at all or I get one on like the second giant I kill. For me there is no inbetween.

Most likely a placebo effect since they changed this on most other items (like dring / pixie), but I always notice much higher drop rates whenever I leave a pallas trigger in my inventory. Usually i'll get an alkyoneus trigger every 30-45min with a pallas trigger on me, as opposed to 2+ hours without one.
