Wait for the THF to make it close to the begining and then have your ally attack the Eye. Keeps pet on it as it warps, as soon as it warps the Dragons should come back to assist it. You prolly have about 10-15m to kill it before they get back. THF can simply run back behind the dragons and get the ???. Make them rr incase they die otw if they need key item. THF should have antidotes as well incase of poison from one of the dragons.

Ignore the statues unless you want to farm around them.
Make sure the team is all standing, no one healing or casting while thf is pulling. Also, make sure u attack the Eye and not use ranged attack. If you miss the attack and someone casts before the dragons are out of range, hate can be lost. Other then that, couldn't have said it better myself. Well said Judai.

Btw, u might want to set rules for charm. This can cause some tension in the LS if people start to murder each other. Personally i enjoy tossing an asuran fists on a taru, but hey that's just me. Lol.

Very important advice - there is always a danger someone is resting and has gone afk as they have been told they cant do anything for 5-10 mins etc. Ive also seen hate pulled by people using JA - dismiss on DRG for sure and id assume some any others can too

Until he is damaged Angra wont do anything but slowga sleepga blindga etc on the person that vokes it off the puller - they are completely safe. There is absolutely no need for anyone to cast anything - or do anything at all - until the puller says your ally are good to attack. This can be difficult the first time esp with new people who havent been there before as the cities dont have anything which requires people to just do nothing at all.

The 100% safest way to make the hate not go bad is just ask people to do absolutely nothing untilt he THF gives the thumbs up. Keep ur ally away from the tank and just watch and wait.

best of luck - the best zone out of them all imo.

Well we didn't make it to the boss. 2 Wipes led to ran out of time.

Wipe #1 I pulled the first eye off the hydra floor to see if we could handle them. (Well, quick answer to that: no.)

Wipe #2 Our thf got all run fast happy with his skadi boots and went ahead of me, round a corner and aggroed 3 statues. Was a half wipe (which imho is longer downtime than just a flat wipe > RR.)

On top of it our main tank DCed and didn't come back, which sucks cause we only have 3 tanks including him, so there was some chaos.

Tried to get the time extention on quadav floor to the east (past the 5 statues in a line) but ran out of time nuking it down due to an very unlucky breakga. Oh well, better luck next time. Gonna head back to windy to get the 3-4 who missed the win and then try again.

Got 1 AF drop, RNG. About 90 currency all together. (/sigh TH4 fails.)

So how do you guys handle hydra? Not sleepable, so I assume kite ones not being faught? Or whats the deal there?

    Thanks guys,

None of this is true, at all. Any and all actions, resting, low HP, etc are safe as long as the THF (or whoever is pulling) is outside of party. If the THF is solo, everything is fine. Typically I run down and get the dragons while the group is finishing up the NM lake, to save time.

Also, farming route and boss route really shouldn't be much different. The only things I'd do differently are kill the extra Goblins on that platform during a farm run, and the extra Quadavs on that layer, they're easy pulls and the mobs aren't too strong.

Red: If you want to get to the boss, it's best to forget that the Hydra even exist. Focus more on efficiency and general understanding of the zone before you start messing with those dudes.

Also, since you asked, I believe you can CC them with Bind.

primarily wanted to agree with most posted here. Put THF out of party and have them simply aggro eye then train dragons back to where you enter (or as long as you can last!). Our THF usually brings a pair of powder boots just to be safe, but has never used them. Can't hurt I guess.

****in regards to your fail on first attempt****

As you noticed, there are positives and negatives to such a huge zone for Dynamis. Your group really has to truck it full blast between camps to save time. One wrong turn for a new shell and you can easily lose enough time to miss out on the win. Know the map, make sure all members are familiar with the map! Obviously this isn't like a city run where 2 or 3 people (leaders and puller) knowing the map and pops is enough. People really need to know where to go on their own without being pulled along kicking and screaming, especially for a shell not completely familiar with ice zones.

Completely ignore the dragons and large statues. Both are nasty and not worth the effort. Now in our Beaucedine runs we will occassionally kill one or two of the large statues simply to get more pops, but we never touch the dragons on our FTW runs (usually scheduled if we get new members). Good news is that once your members have the win, you can move to purely farming runs here instead of dealing with the journey to fei'yin.

Yup, bind/gravity/kite the one not being fought. We often have the RDM's do this, since they are not busy sleeping anything at the time. If I remember correctly (been a while), BRD can sleep the Hydra pets (doggy things).

But the only time we ever kill any of the hydra mobs is if we are in need of a Test mob. Then we only kill the first couple pulls, and the eye kill team takes care of sacking their way through the rest.

I'm not entirely sure what I'd do with a pure farming run. I suppose we could use the last 10min to clear out some Hydras, since we already clear the rest of the mobs. Usually we just go for win for S&G and cuz someone always seems to need the win for some reason, lol.

Our leader solos the attestation eye on his own now on RDM, I'm sure he'd be willing to share how if you ask. Doesn't take him too long either.

I'm actually interested to hear what other LS do for the most efficient farming path if you are not going for the Mega Boss. My LS has farmed a couple times, but usually we have people with us that need the win.

The most efficient farming path is simply to go for the win, but kill some of the things you normally skip on the way. (A lot people don't know this, but the Goblin, Quadav, and Orc large statues have easy pulls around them. No links, relatively easy mobs, etc, if you do it right. Yagudo's a little trickier, but not too bad.) If you can't get it all, you can still skip some, just make sure you still get the TEs of course. If you pull the goblins on the right side of the ramp up, pull them from the other side (opposite the ramp), south of the little pond over there. Less links that way.

even the dynamis statues themselves are fairly easy. they move as fast as any other mob, unlike their pint sized buddies, but aren't all that remarkable. it's just the sheer quantity of mobs you run into if you don't pull their baby statues around them first. we pull the orc statue commonly at the end of runs for lols since elvaanlopper is an orc SAM NM. meikyo shisui>fanatic dance=good times.

The bolded part is key point which no one has mentioned in this thread (or in any other thread I have read for that matter) so everything I said was valid if you have your puller in the alliance.

If having the THF solo prevent all that hassle then sounds much better to me - thanks for the tip ill try it next run.

Re: Dynamis - Bueacedine: Questions from new Linkshell

as for routes used on farming runs- we typically farm Hydra just to mix things up and keep people's attention there. They're great fun to mess around with, and can be that change of pace to keep people happy.

As for other farming runs we typically get all normal mob TE's and pull two of the dynamis statues and their accompaning mobs. Usually Quadav and Goblin, although we've done Yagudo as well with success. Not a fan of orcs there.

I would highly suggest that people do Hydras though. Half of our total Beaucedine drops are from Hydras, and as you all know there aren't that many Hydra mobs.

We have done hydra a few times just to see what they are like. The only time we have ever gotten AF from a hydra, it was from one that spawned with t a Test NM. Never had any from the hydra area of the map.

Re: Dynamis - Bueacedine: Questions from new Linkshell

    Most Efficient Farming path?

    W/ Over 36 people:

Farm through to yagudo, up until the yagudo summoner area.

Split alliance in half, send one half up to kill goblins, clear all goblins + goblin large stats.

Other group continues farming through all yagudo, skipping yagudo large stat (Its simply not worth it.)

Then continues through Quadavs, clearing all the way until Summoner Dav extension, then begins pulling from both sides. (Rdm Extension side, and Large Statue side)

By about the first or second set of pulls the other alliance should have caught up, and at this point you can send them to one side or the other. Then blm pull the orc TE, below the quadavs.

Finally go down to orcs, kill the TE near the tower, clear the mixed mobs just past that, and then turn around to the Orc large statue.

Clear this. Go back to the narrow orc passageway, clear this.

Provided you have good people you can do all of this, AND still kill the megaboss. Toss in a sac pull on the yagudo if you want to kill his dragons as well.

Btw, you don't NEED over 36 people to do all of this, but it makes things more efficient.

On a side note, I hate you, because those RNG feet never drop for me.

Anyway, as far as hydra go, I wouldn't attempt those until you have a little more experience inside beaucedine, imo. If you do want to do that one pull on the ramp near the goblins, then I guess that's fine since it's one of the smaller hydra pulls. RDMs can easily kite hydras with grav bind or even NIN sub (though, I would never sub ninja on RDM in dynamis unless I was soloing the eye to pop attestation mobs). Very important to keep your whms and mages in general out of breakga range because it can screw you up quickly. Also, if you find yourself running low on time after Quadavs and don't want to clear the path to the Orc extension on the level below, you can just time nuke the extension statue from the Quadav Level. I believe it's a 15min extension and anyone who nukes to kill the statue should just relog after to make sure you dont get a massive train of Orcs in your face unexpectedly.

    Well, win.

At least, the Key Item that everyone got says win.

I say fail because my linkshell showed what a bunch of morons they are, arguing and bitching, not sleeping, not curing, not raising (one guy didn't get win because it was a last minute kill and no one raised him.)

4 People left the linkshell it was that bad, well 4 people I know of, who knows who else just /drop pearl without a word. Very disappointed in my Remora brethren.

In any case, TY BG for getting 20 some odd people their Hydra Corps Insignia.

Not even gonna touch Xarc. until people can do Beau without being idiots.

orz, I missed this when I last went through this thread. Sorry about that. The PLD pulled the Eye away from the train and started kiting, and very shortly thereafter, it warped to the THF kiting away the dragons.
