Character dead for reals i think

happened to me befor, i called a GM on POL and he told me login so he can send me to jail and then warp me to hp. worked perfectly for me.

I had a similar issue with sound in sky once upon a time, i'd just completely lag out until I dc'd when I zoned into Tu'Lia.

People had to log on to warp for me since calling from a mule to a GM did nothing, since they insisted I had to call from the character in trouble.

If i played without sound, it worked fine.

So had to reinstall since I wasn't smart enough then to know which files to target. ;D

I had this issue. This is some odd conflict between sound drivers and antivirus software. Don't exactly know where the flaw is but I know I could play fine if I disabled my sound driver before I started up the game (had to do this before entering Sky or the Reef). This got really old so researching it further someone suggested uninstalling anti-virus software and that seemed to fix the issue.

I've never reinstalled, this used to happen to me all the time. I'd zone and be stuck on black screen with downloading data forever and have to manually shutdown ffxi. Everytime it happened I went to my router/modem and flushed it, unplugging the router first then the modem, wait 5 minutes plug modem in first and then when all the lights are lit again, plug the router in.

Happens to me constantly. I do the same, but I only reboot the router and it works fine after that.

When I camped LoO with jared and a few other people. noone in the shell wanted to come help unless we had it claimed. eventually got the club to drop. guy(blkmagicknight i think) wanted to keep it so we decided he could buy it from us. epicly dumb move on my part since I had the club in my hand and could have just ran off with it. He gave me 10 mil and said he would have the rest to me by the end of the week, but he just RMT'd the whole club and his character. I think I was the only other person to get money from that, a few of his shell mates lost items he was borrowing when he sold it all(M. kris, striders, some other things). this was May 14, 2006

edit: I just noticed the LS color too, someone was a pos shell leader at that time
