It gives you a couple extra side quests or something... and i'm pretty sure that if you reserved the game in the store you'll get one, and even if not they'll probably release it on the marketplace.

My god, it takes so damn long for a random battle to start. While at first, it looks cool, I can imagine it getting old fast. Reminds me of Naruto Shippuuden's pacing (scene panning shot, staring, epic music, lol).Other than that, the game looks cool. I hope the game is at least successful enough to the keep Mistwalker afloat, this company has a lot of potential, it just needs to start making better gameplay design choices.
Overall BD wasn't THAT bad, it just lacked more storytelling.
I have high hopes for LO, but I also expect the worst.
I watched a bit of BD's anime, never tried the manga...but the stories from the anime and the actual game were totally different. I don't know why they decided to pick such a poor story instead to use as the back story of the game. Anyone else notice this?
I don't know much about LO's story, but I am hoping it's more of a mature story...and the characters are epic...but that's just my wishful thinking![]()
LO is mature. I dunno about epicness, but hell, if anything the music is epic.![]()
And they plan on releasing more Blue Dragon games, that was just #1.
Epic music is always a plus!
So did they game fatman in japan? I heard it did decent for the first week, then liek, it banished! Discuss.

I have only heard a little bit of this game's music.
My cousin brought it over the other day... the random battle music is FUCKING AWESOME.
Wow.
If it only gets better from there, I know I'll at least have a good time listening to the game's music when I play it.
Have you heard the final boss music?

Uematsu. <3 (no spoilers in that vid btw, just a static picture of some random scene in the game that makes no sense and the music playing.)
So pumped for this game. I hope I'm not disappointed, but I was satisfied with Blue Dragon so I'm sure this will be solid.
The X-Play retards only gave it 3 stars. They said that its the same old style turn based game. Which I for one don't mind after all the real time and online play I tend to go thru. Sadly they gave the same score for B.D which I enjoyed playing.
That's why I don't listen to reviews... I watch them to get an IDEA of what the game will be like, but it never caused me to not go after a game I was interested in (even if it's just renting it) just because someone online told me not to.
I tend to wait a couple of weeks then go to the numerous gaming review websites and listen to the players more so then the critics. It seems X-Play only support the popular games (WoW) and the popular systems (WII). The way they review one game with a crummy score you can actually review the same exact way for a game they gave great scores to.
Why not just try the game out for yourself rather than rely on others' reviews?
Its an hour drive to the nearest game store and I hate ordering online. So usually what I do is wait until I have to make a run out to that area and then I will make a stop to purchase a game or 2. But by then people have already bought it and beat it. So it helps me decide if its a "hurry up and get it" or a "You can wait another week for it".Originally Posted by Exoduso

I would suggest gamefly, but apparently it's the uncool thing to do if you come to these forums. Wasting 65 bucks on a game you hate is a MUCH much better choice, right?![]()
I hate renting games/movies in general. Seems I am the one who always have problems with them, when I return them.Originally Posted by Exoduso
An I wouldn't call it wasting money. Most the games I own have high replay value. Well for me anyways. Not to mention friends/family like to play them when they come over. Maybe I could see using gamefly if I was a gameaholic. But as it is the last 2 games I bought were Mass Effect and CoD4 way back in Nov.
Well the way I see it, I use gamefly BECAUSE i'm not a .. erm.. "gameaholic". I don't have that much time anyways, so why bother paying for a bunch of games I won't have time playing anyways? This way, I pay 15 bucks a month and I have whatever game I currently have out and usually send it back within a week or two... I dunno, it just works better for me and my schedule.
I did buy DMC4 though, awesome game.![]()
Derail time!!!
I hated all the DMC games..
