Viva Laughlin (CBS) + Life (NBC)

Does any 1 catch both of these shows?

Laughlin season premiered last Thursday, then moved to it regular night on Sundays @ 8pm EST

The first 2 episodes have been very enjoyable

Show has a nichè style of adding musical numbers within the show, the songs do help out the story alot

Also the wife of the Viva owner is smoking hot

Nice twists and turns keeps the show stable

I love how the imperfections are the catalyst for this show

The branching of the story is very dark, and each clue reveals a little more

CBS is singing the blues over "Viva Laughlin," which has been officially canceled after just two episodes.

Emmy winner "The Amazing Race" will take "Laughlin's" place in the Sunday 8 p.m. slot -- where the reality show resided last year -- effective Nov. 4. A repeat "CSI" will run in the time period next week.

I just wasn't impressed by Life. Maybe I'm just cop-showed out, but the characters on Life just don't seem very realistic. Plus the premise is very, very flimsy.

Thing is I'm almost 100 percent sure they based the premise off a real occurence in Saskatchewan. I can't remember the guys name right now, but he was wrongly convicted of multiple homicide because his friends turned on him and said they saw him do it. He went to jail for 15 years (same as in the show I believe) and only got out a few years ago when DNA proved he didn't do it. He was awarded 5 mil (again same as in the show) and used his money to help track down the real killer who I believe was caught. Only difference really is the fact that the guy wasn't a cop like in the show.

they don't disclose the amount in the show, but it has to be WAY more than 5, that house alone is worth at LEAST that much.

True or not, not every real life story is a good premise for a TV show.

It was called "Blackpool" over here, Viva Blackpool was a one off spinoff from it. Star's Dr who and some annoying soup actress i can't stand , I never liked the show I don't know how it would work with US audience's.


I like Life though very enjoyable I have no clue why a lot of your TV programs have brits in main roles with American accents though.

Your actors tarin and learn to do Shakespeare and other old literature...while american actors do movies like Thelma and Louise/Attack of the Killer Tomatoes to get there break into hollywood (Pitt, Clooney)
