So I think this game deserved its own topic. This is because I see it is as the PS3's best game thus far, and it has no threats of going to 360 since Insomniac games loves Sony (though there was a day when Crash Bandicoot was the Sony mascot so you never know). And overall I just think this is going to be an incredible game.

The first unbiased review has come out (PSM gave it a 9.5) and that is from 1up who gave it an 8.5. This excerpt sums it up pretty good:

Let me be clear, though: An uninspired story, a glitchy weapon, and a sometimes-unwieldy camera don't damage Ratchet beyond repair. The irresistibly addictive jumping-shooting-collecting-upgrading gameplay is as powerful here as it's ever been, and the optional collectibles, side-missions, and unlockable Challenge mode offer a really satisfying amount of play time.

I played the demo this morning but was a little put off. The main reason was because all of these people (not necessarily here) kept saying that it looked like a PIXAR movie but this morning it looked like it had some serious AA problems. Maybe it was just the demo and the game is fine, I sure hope so.

I do agree with whatever reviewer (GT?) said co-op would've been nice. I'd love to shit up with a friend. I also agree with whatever said that this game should help the series get the mainstream attention it deserves.
Anyway, I'm sad because, due to me failing, the game is being delivered to me early November, but my PS3 won't come until early December. So it's going to be there, mocking me.

Old thread, but bump to say that I loooooove this game! I just picked it up yesterday after playing the demo. It's a bit on the easy side, but still fun enough that it doesn't really matter.. my list of games that makes me happy to have a PS3 is short, but this is definitely one of them. Love the graphics!
