What are you talking about? That joke had never been made before the Simpsons. And while we are on the topic, the Simpsons was the first television show ever to have a fat, stupid man who gets involved in crazy, hair-brained schemes and is married to an attractive, smart woman. Never in the history of television had this premise been used, so Family Guy is such a total rip off. Nope, the Simpsons were the first ones to do that ever.

That's what I thought as well. I wasn't a huge TNG fan so it wasn't the music I noticed, but the font looked exactly like it, so I figured it was some kind of reference.

it was a reference to the star trek: the next gen episode "the best of both worlds part one" where picard got turned into a borg... same music and type font... episode was good, but not great... i think seasons four and five were the best(aside from the shock value of being a freshman in college watching season one with my friends and just being in awe of a show making those kinds of jokes being on the air)
