Myself and Firebrand/Artenis do our part to try to teach the minions basic things that any retard should know, but it sometimes doesn't stick. It's really hard to resist making a comment about RDM being serious business...

ToAU has created a fuck ton of noobs who get to 75 almost twice as fast as when there was only Orig, RoZ and CoP areas to exp in. I think back then because you leveled slower, gear like AF was viewed as more important as you would need it longer, and reputation played a bigger part in getting invites.
Many people seem to not bother now, simply because they think just leveling up will make them better in the end.
It's older players that have to suffer for it.

My advice to you would be check people BEFORE you start exping. If you have any doubts, polightly make enquireis. If it does indeed turn out they are retarded then out they go. If you get an invite to such a PT just leave, if you really can't bare than 5k/hr over 0k/hr.

I did find the post pretty funny though. Personaly I think I would have stringed them for as long as posible watching them die over and over to sleep resisted mobs lol. Also I like how she says she's not going to play RDM anymore. Props to making someone quit a job.

As long as your not throwing -ga around the melee should have shadows. I always threw Dia and slow on them. As long as I kept haste up slow would never overwrite. And as long as dia was done early I only got hit with it. Lets just say that having dia on you when you could potentially get hit with sleep is a good thing.

Although I can't say I'd enfeeble anything in a good merit pt (especially against Colibri) it was all I could do to keep up 4x hastes and a few refreshes + throw out heals.

And what's with +mp gear at 1/2 or less MP, that's just sad T.T but based off the convo and the SS's Frida probably doesn't graps the concept of stepping out of +MP gear and into +stat gear as you burn through your pool.

I tried the same yesterday (had full MP mostly), and we had a COR/WHM in full MP gear and only doing rolls -_-.

Wish I still had the screenshots of this WHM pre-ToAU. Forgot her name now, was a taru in Paradise Oblivian though- (Theres a joke surrounding her about "hep hep hep") Anyway, Pre-ToAU, Lv. 70 PT in Bibiki, and she was completly naked. No equipment at all except a NQ light staff lol. Told her to put something on or im out (I was the NIN tank then, when tanks were scarce) She said Goodbye and booted me lol

Next thing I hear, from a buddy in the PT says shes blasting insults at me in /p and /l and saying im a noob and an ass hole ;x crazy bitch

WeSH, if it's the LS I'm thinking of isn't "trash". They're newbie helpers. And from the inventory shots, that doesn't look like a WeSH pearl anyhow.

And some colibri PT's are literally that bad for an RDM. I've had ones where I just sat there in melee gear poking away with a dagger...because it was child's play keeping Haste/Refresh/Dia up and the meleers were just -not- getting hit.

with 1 brd 1 rdm 4 melee they probably should have the dark to sleep adds when brd is off pulling

Assuming they're killing slow enough for there to be any significant chance of that. Bard pulls then sleeps. If rdm sleeps they may be the one slept, and with the brd having /nin rdm isn't likely to be able to get a cure.

I do that too, and cast Slow (Slow 1) on it too while hasting everyone, but sometimes dia wears off and who the bird casts it on can be a bit tricky in the first place too. Still safer to have BRD sleep stuff.

If mobs live long enough for para or slow to make any difference you are doing things wrong. It doesn't matter what a rdm wears, as long as he has all spells.

Dia, dispel, haste, refresh, cure....nothing more really. Then again, I havn't been in a non 2bard pt in a long while
