I think because Elmer threw out the name Viking when explaining that they used Provoke in earlier FFs, then everyone was like OMFGVIKINGISTHENEWJOB.

The rikishi thing is just a rumor so it may not be true, it could be a hint from Famitsu(since they do get infos from SE)... anyway i believe it might be the "strongman" translation or rikishi, not wrestler,because it can easily translate to Viking (and well wrestler doesnt seem like a job SE would add tbh i mean the name doesnt sound to Final Fantasy-ish)... kind of how PUP is "Gadgeteer"(or something along those lines) in japan....

Meh, the ability in and of itself would be the only reason anyone would care about Gaurd. Even when capped, it does nothing substantial. They would have to change its proc rate for the skill level to be important.

This is a moot point, however, since Monk is never going to change. Ever.

Actually, I'm sure they'll be more imaginative than that. For all we know, though, it could be the new support job, too.

I think 3 is the most likely, personally, seeing as that's been the tradition so far. 2 is about as unlikely as 4.

Yes, the 2 Yagudo models we all know (the "naked" "Devotee" wear and the "Red Mask" wear) do not seem to be limited to any time period. The majority Yagudo in that screenshot are just Far Eastern Yags that were permitted to come to the west, and the 2 "Vanguard" models are supposed to be martyrs.
