Wish I could say I'm surprised, if they aren't afraid to steal peoples donations, then they won't think twice about breaking any "mutual agreements" about stealing info.

The only plus side is that its essentially admitting BG Forums/Wiki lead the way on new FFXI details.

This actually hadn't crossed my mind on how it would affect besieged. Anything usually over 400 people tends to be a horrible clusterfuck of lag, could work out well in the off-chance they both take place at the same time.

It would fail if they both took place at the same time, because then you're likely to fail both. On some servers at some levels of Beseiged, it takes everybody you have to protect the AC.

As for otherwiki stealing from BG, that's nothing new, but anyone could always remove it and let them come up with their own article after finding a copy of Famitsu and translating it themselves.

But chances are they'll ignore it and just do it anyhow.

honestly, I'm not sure if it's worth the effort beyond continuing to be a shining example of a 'better' wiki: (speaking of which ) we need to finish hammering out items so we can go to FFXIAH about getting links.

I'm sure that's exactly why no one bothers to add such a notice to each of their posts. It won't stop them. You can't really blame them, either, because if they don't copy us, they'll fall so far behind and be so out of date that nobody will use them anymore (if anyone still even does), and Wikia will complain they aren't getting the hits they expect and dump them.

I don't care if FFXIwikia(we are FFXIwiki now!) steals from BG, it has after it's been decided they are douches and we shouldn't give it to them. What does matter is Elmer(nor this thread) is not credited. Someone could edit that in, but I wouldn't be surprised if Charitwo the upholder of justice and hypocrisy would step in and ban that person.

and to Spops, on your linkshells website they credited elmer and you removed it like a jerk, you owe him an apology

the person at http://forums.ffxiclopedia.org/viewtopic.php?t=7235 is not in Machina on Quetz, as that person is on Seraph. The Machina person on Quetz posted it in reference to BG and who translated it, or did they post it on wiki without credit?

I only deleted the duplicate, albeit the wrong one (i didn't know, work firewall filters BG), they have since been switched. But seriously, I could give fuck all what you have to think or say, thanks to the mysterious .htaccess ban from BGwiki, so fuck you. And I don't care about having sources on the articles, it's Mierin the one to bitch at.
