It was awesome for 1hr30min. Last 10mins was "meh". Lot's of good "bump" moments that make you jump a bit. Watch it at the imax if given the chance. I'm so spoiled by imax movies.

I hate pop out at you movies with a passion. It's like they can't find a good way to scare someone so they go with the easiest.
I loved the part where he was chasing his dog and he's looking around the room and all of a sudden the flashlight beam shows off a group of the vampires for a split second and he covers the light really fast.
Made me jump and go Oh SHIT at the same time. Brilliant.
Awesome movie. I didn't like the way it ended, but I didn't think it had a bad ending, if that makes any sense <_<
Ending was okay, but the rest of the movie was superb.
Just came back from the movie, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about how they wrapped everything up, and how far the movie progressed in total (from start to finish the story progressed maybe 2-4 days). As mentioned before, the acting was superb and the intensity was off the charts. There was one sad part about half way through the movie that I'm sure the people who have seen it known what I'm referring to that almost had me in tears, and I DON'T cry easy in movies. Tugged on my heart strings pretty bad during that scene.
Some basic quotes that sum up my review for the most part:

Ending seemed sorta rushed... but still, very great movie. And the "sad part" was very sad indeed![]()
Damn good movie.
To be honest, I loved what the movie did with what it had to work with, but I feel the premise of the movie held it back. I think if they took more leeway with the movie's plot and made it wrap up better and feel more cohesive, it would have been much better. Individually the scenes and the actors portrayals were spot on, just the movie as a whole could have been much better. Im generally not one to judge a movie on what it should or could have been, that is not me at all, 99% of the time I enjoy a movie for what it is, because hell..that's all Im getting. But this movie really made me long and want for more, maybe because I wanted it to be good so badly.
And yeah, wtf @ cliche ending...I was expecting something really mindblowing. I really cant think of a plot-point or key scene that wasnt in the trailer now that I think of it.
I have a really good eye even when it comes to irrelevant things. There was a scene that panned by that showed a gas station and instead of looking at the devastation, first thing I look at is the gas prices. I think regular was like $6.32.
A few people got a laugh out me going "Holy shit look at those gas prices!"
But yeah I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Really made me think of 28 Weeks Later though. Regardless, I love action/suspenseful stuff. Although I felt after Sam died, the movie started to decline slowly.
Anyone else notice how there's always a "boss" character in these type of movies? You can't really call it a villain or a antagonist because they don't have any backstory but it's like that one monster/vampire/etc that keeps popping up in the movie that seems to always come after the main character? What's up with that?
Haha glad I'm not the only one that saw thatOriginally Posted by AoE
True, but also after sam dies you also get to see the complete breakdown of a man who in the beginning of the movie you find strong willed and happy to an extent. While it was also bad it was also good in ways.Originally Posted by AoE

After Sam died and he took the car down the road and looked at the passenger seat and it was empty. I choked up a bit![]()
Edit: One thing I didn't get was the deers, why was he going apeshit chasing after it? he had plenty of food or was there a lack of meat due to rotting over the years?![]()
I loved the movie one nitpick i have is the fact how new the cars Will smith and Anna were driving looked. I mean I know its all about product placement but shit after 3 years in that enviorment they are not gonna look that good..
Other then that its a good movie!
That and when Him and sam were sitting on the floor, and he was singing bob marley and then notices that sam was starting to turn and just watching him while he choked? or smothered? sam to death.Originally Posted by blister1
For sport maybe? or maybe there was just a scarce supply of meat.
I think he was hunting deer because of the fact that they seemed to be immune to the virus.
Great movie, but there was just one part that I didn't really understand. What was up with Frank? Was that a trap that Robert (I think that was his name >_>) set up, and he just walked into his own trap, or was it set up by the zombie guy with the dogs?
Small font is getting annoying, can we get a spoiler tag in the title?
Also, how different is the movie from the book? Would you recommend that I read the book even after watching the movie?
