Considering Windower is the one who came up with the idea few years back... and its exactly what the plugin was suppose to accomplish.

They saw it on our site, and realized it was a neat thing that could be used.

I don't doubt it's possible Windower is where they got the idea, but you have to realize that letting people visit their friends' mog houses isn't exactly a unique idea. I'm sure people have been asking for it from SE since before MogLink was ever introduced.

I don't think they stole the idea from windower tho.. it probably was just a matter of time and listening to suggestions. Hostel was supposed to be a roundabout way of solving that, but the idea of it never picked up.

Perhaps you can only invite up to like 5 people into your room.. and if u wanna do bigger discussion u gotta go elsewhere, or something..

I can see this being used more for people who make their own fan-story-videos where they gather in someones room for discussion.

I doubt it's even FFXI where they got this idea. There are a bunch of other games (Neocron, Vanguard, Anarchy Online, Phantasy Star Universe) where others could already visit your appartment or house.

Many MMOs allow other players to come into your home/"Mog House" and view your furniture or even "use" some of the items in there. Its a pretty old idea. Some games even allowed for non-instanced housing (your house actually exists as a separate and unique entity in the world) or where you could sell your items on an AH or broker (more than a tiny 7 at a time). These are not new concepts and FFXI is behind on the times. PS2 limitations, too bad. Maybe if they make the next FFXI, they will incorporate some of these other aspects.

4 years ago this would of been a cool feature but now it seems rather pointless. I can't help to think what good this is going to come other than the lulz factor invisible gm's are going to get out of this.

Actually I ment that it took about a billion years for timestamp to get released even though it was probabliy done over a year ago.
I wish the Windower devs would grow some balls.
I doubt the cross server moghouse plugin will ever get released because they are worried it will tarnish Windower's o-so pure reputation.
