    360's controller dpad

This has been bugging me for awhile ever since I picked up a wireless one for my PC, does anyone else's dpad have their left-direction on it being a little crappy?

By crappy I mean you actually have to press left for it to register, you can't just lightly tap it like you can all the other directions and have them still work, making it a nuisance for games where I actually use it (and on my bro's 360), and god forbid if I ever play a fighter where I have to roll my thumb from one direction to another....wait, nvm, DoA4, forgot about that.

Is this common by anychance? Mine has this problem, my brother's controller that came with his elite has it, unsure if we both just got shafted, or if Microsoft didn't pay enough attention to the damn thing.

best bet would be to do a calibration in Windows' gamepad config.
I don't have that problem, however I have a wired 360 controller and had to do a recalibration from initial setup.

It's not a calibration issue, as it persists even when I hook it up to a 360. ;/

Had this issue on all 6 controllers I've ever held. One or two directions would require a lot more force to press than the others. I think it's just the way they make them. I find pressing them hard, repeatedly for a few seconds helps improve it for awhile. >.>
