GH3 Tournament Thread

gh3 doesnt come out in euroland until the end of november or so I heard If I had it I wouldve signed up for hard though, I only barely beat expert mode in gh2.

Maybe it wasn't called Guitar Hero though. BUT THERE WAS A GUITAR GAME FOR PLAYSTATION. Only had three 'cords'.

Definitely wasn't Guitar Hero.
The first Guitar Hero was for Playstation 2, and used the black SG controller (nearly identical to GH2's Red SG controller on the PS2). It had 5 buttons like every other Guitar Hero game to come after it.

Hey Sky, here's a decent "idea" for the tournament. Just divide it into different sections: Expert, Rocker, Normal, Groupie, etc (regardless of system). The songs are to be chosen randomly, and respectively to their level. The number of songs is to be decided as well as when is the deadline to submit their scores. Tally up the scores to decide who gets eliminated, etc. etc. I mean, I know you mentioned not having that vs flavour, but at least there would be some rules.

I'm down with normal difficulty, and whatever song.

Since normal isn't a difficulty, do you mean medium or hard? I'm assuming medium from your list but I wanna be sure

there's a good enough amount of people too, at least 7 for each expert and hard and 3 for medium is a good start.

deadline to enter is this sunday at 12:00am PST, after that it's go time!

I'll post the 'official' schedule rules sometime this weekend, right now i'm a bit busy though.

I don't know why Ertyu isn't on that list. I guess as promised, he disappeared for a few days after the game came out. I'll buy the game I guess this week if it is leagues better than GH2, and then I'll probably hop in the expert. Just gotta bring myself to buy it.

Today is the last day to sign up if you are interested as the games begin tomorrow (or whenever you buy it and start(ed) playing.

Remember for the purposes of this your band name must equal your BG name and must be the same band name the whole way through, this is just to keep scoring easy and so that you can't just print out someone elses scores and use their band name.

I'm going to pick up the game in like 30 minutes, so i'll print an example of what needs to be submitted to me for scoring. I think it's still a newspaper article after the song but i'll make sure.

If you haven't PM'd me to join do so now, last entry will be tonight at 12:00 PST anyone not in it by then, won't be added later.
