GH3 Tournament Thread

Got my copy <3 though my first one had a busted guitar so I had to go exchange it. Second guitar works like a dream though.

I'm considering switching to expert, because I hit 98-99% on the first few venues on hard just sight-reading. If given a week I'd probably be turning in 4 FCs, not much fun in that.

I'm just worried that later I won't be able to progress in expert at all, seeing as I can barely beat the top-tier expert songs on GH2.

Thoughts?

Yea, I just now got there...sight-read a 5* on everything but 3 songs up until the final tier, and then on the final tier I can't even beat Raining Blood or One (yet).

Regardless, move me up to Expert, because the first 7 tiers are going to be a snoozer for me on hard (and I'm not in this to win )

If it's not too late, I wouldn't mind switching to medium. Despite last night being my first GH night in probably 4-6 months, I think I overestimated myself, because some hard songs are nucking futs. Hell, FCPREMIX on medium destroys my hand as it is. So yeah, medium for me prz. =(

While I'm thinking about it, has anyone experienced an issue with the 360 controller where it seems to lock in the 'down' position on the strum bar? It keeps strumming right after I press the 360 Guide Button to turn it on, almost like I held it in that position when i turned it on. I've yet to actually figure out why it's doing it...but it's done it 2x so far and i'm tempted to return the game and flip it out for another copy.

Unless I missed seeing it last night while playing Easy and Medium to get money to unlock songs and outfits, and it shows up on harder levels....the post song score sheet in GH3, doesn't seem to list a band name. It lists the song you did, your score, note streak, and the stars....so....scoring may be slightly harder now. Anyone else see it this way or does the "newspaper" show band name on hard and expert? I only did three songs on hard, 5 stared Lacuna Coil, 3 star Prayer of the Refugee, and failed the solo of One.....
