DRG: AJ vs Barone Corazza

Basically my friend thinks my decision to have never gotten an AJ and instead spend 1mil on a Barone Corazza is a waste of money. I keep telling him that IMO the BCorazza is much better. Now for me, I do a lot of soloing and melee burns. I just need to hear what other people think of this. Whats your opinion on the better to have.

hmm i felt it was advanced because it's not a newbie question, it's endgame and i was seeking the opinion of other endgamers. I couldn't really think of any other section to put it in.

While it is related to gear choices at end game levels I guess the standard is that most questions focusing on "In what situation which is better Item A or Item B?" just tends to go in the newbie forums.

For future reference advanced section is normally for, HNMs, New stuff, Drama, Big Events that aren't 3 years old, POL Updates, expansion stuff if its not years old, and trolls.

umm no, this doesn't prove drg can't wear accuracy gear, i choose not to wear any accuracy gear because I don't need to. The only accuracy I really have is gear that i have for attack that has accuracy on it too. For instance, my hecatomb harness has acc. +10, but that's just an added bonus to make sure WS don't miss.

Also I can't see how you can say AJ looks better than corazza. not really just the AJ alone but also with any of my AF purple + orange = yuck.


Also on another comment about there being much better gear out there anyways, yes i'm aware that there is better gear, especially from Sea, which is something I don't have access to. because CoP hates me. Working on it though.

drg can't wear acc gear, this isnt common knowledge?

k, for the most part we can't, but even with the amount of acc gear that we ARE given, i feel is not needed. but this isn't the topic of the discussion.

I'm going with: Since you already have the Corazza, don't spend the time to get a jerkin, rather spend the time (and gil you'll get from selling the corazza) to put towards other options. ^^

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but it's kind of a waste of gil. Otherwise, shit's situational, yo.

My DRG has the SH, AJ, and Barone, and the Barone is for jump macros only. The SH is used on IT++ when I'm stupid and feel like using meat, and the AJ is for IT and lesser when I feel like using meat. If I ever need to use sushi, it's AJ time. If you've got the accuracy to back it up and no AJ or Homam, Barone is just peachy, but really, there are better options for TP gear than Barone.

What's this even doing on BG? There's a thousand topics like this on Dragoon forums on KI/Zam and even they know the correct answer.
Out of those two for XP parties and end-game Assault Jerkin wins hands down. Should be a no-brainer to compare +13 attack vs. +18 attack and +3 accuracy.
However, Barone is the best body piece you can have for soloing imo (apart from Ares) and still a very worthy investment. I recommend you get and keep both and yes like said, Barone is a nice little boost to your Jump macro. If you play the job seriously eventually you'll end up lugging around 3-4 body pieces regardless, it's all situational.

Unless you already have Homam/Ares/Askar waiting for you at 75 and just want to gimp it up there it's worth it to go camp Ose. Depending on your linkshell you may end up wearing the jaffa cake jerkin for quite some time.
