I kind of wish the online maps were a little more condusive to sniping, or do I just need to wait until the .50 CAL?

In my experience so far, the pace is just too nuts to really get going on a Sniper Spree for long. Well, that is if you camp. Even your two Claymores can only keep them off of you for so long. Another thing, if your team isn't remotely fending off the people that will want to come and make you WISH you can loaded out with something other than a Sniper Rifle (a few consecutive headshots... well it makes for pissed enemies) then you are just going to be a sitting duck.

A mobile sniper, that moves with the team more, is a more supportive member of the group may have more luck. That of course is much more difficult that holing up and getting a few headshots in before you get rushed.

Either way, still fun from time to time =)

Have they mentioned anything about them fixing this ridiculously shitty lobby feature? another thing..why is it when I get a party invite from a friend in the middle of a game, I get booted from the game!?? what's the logic in this?

Anyhow, with all this said, Oldcore is so much fun.

I think they have it on backorder right now so i'm not sure... but yeah it doesn't matter that it's from japan, all games will work with it, but obviously games that don't have vibration won't vibrate.

Oh and the DS3 is still a sixaxis, btw...

Now I get to do easy stuff like finding the intel and shooting TVs. =D God I am SO glad that's over... such a relief. Finished uploading codes with 1:17 remaining, so I think I actually did fairly well. The shotgun/grenade launcher was definitely the deciding factor in beating that level. YUS!

Heh yeah, if you thought the no fighting in the war room mission was annoying wait until you get to the 2nd floor on the airplane a hundred times and die to random stupid shit.. Or hell, not even make it to the 2nd floor. >.<

In fact, I would probably suggest playing through it on Easy first at least. It would have helped a ton to at least know what to expect on the second floor.

Yup, I played it on easy and actually beat it in under 60 seconds but that's not a big deal heh... I think it actually took me over 200 tries to nail it down on Veteran (and that's after getting to the VIP about 2-3 times and shooting him by mistake... >.< "friendly fire will not be tolerated!" and you're tossed right back to the beginning... assholes )

It's so rewarding once you see that achievement fly across your screen though.. heh.

That's when I actually broke down and looked up a youtube video. I was CLEARLY not shooting the VIP, but somehow was. I noticed in the video that the guy actually aimed NEXT to the terrorist and got the hit - hit detection seems VERY off on that part. But yeah, aimed to miss, and killed him fine. Stupid.

Haha yeah I did the same thing.. saw some dude beating it in 39 seconds and got inspired heh... couldn't do it exactly like him though because it seemed like his was an insane longshot and he got fucking lucky as hell, but when I finally beat it I had a good 9-10 second timer left before reaching the VIP's doors.

Tried it a few times, and the farthest i made it was into the hallway with the last few enemies before the left turn into the last stretch. I have faith that i will get it eventually, it is just terribly random XD One run i get killed in .5 seconds by the P90 bastard on the right end of the hall, another time i cleanly make it upstairs nice and fast only to get killed by a guy that i missed =(

Have my intel though so I just want to get this one done then go back after the Veteran levels.

Wow, Shotgun (either pump or auto) + special flash/stun x3 + Stopping Power + Extreme Conditioning are siiick. I was getting 1st place MVP on maps like Overgrown and Crossfire. The key is Extreme Conditioning, you pretty much can run around constantly (seems to be about x3 the length as normal endurance) and dodge bullets to make your way face to face with anyone and blast em. It's almost unfair. I had a whole team laughing after the game was over, and the one guy on the team was like "man Locke you were pissing the whole team off."

Granted I dont think its better than an auto like the AK-74U/AK-47/M-4 etc, but it definitely has its advantages as long as you're always in constant movement and cutting up behind the action.

Sorry, not much to contribute to on Single Player....havent played much of it. =(

Another amazing combo is the best Light Machine Gun [LMG] with Double Tap, omfg does it drop people fast. I was doing Headquarters and I took out a room with 4 people in 1 bullet sweep lol.

Just got lvl 37, didnt feel like sleeping before work today... lol

So, it's been discussed randomly a few times, but I'm really interested in what everyone uses weapons/perks-wise... I know I use a different type depending on the game type im in.

I typically only play Search & Destroy, and Domination. S&D keeps my K:D ratio steady, which is nice. Domination I can typically get a TON of kills (love groundwar) and a ton of points, minimum 500 per mode usually and they peak just over 1k.

I did do Headquarters for the first time tonight. Really liked it alot except for when we got to shipment....... I ended with 90 kills but I had 100 deaths, this gametype really kills my ratio but I really am starting to care less and less about having a high k:d the more I play.

As for weapons. I like to use an Assault setup in S&D/Domination/T-DM, M16 or M4 usually with a scope, perks being claymores specifically in S&D, and a number of things in the others. I'm terrible with LMG's, but god I can't get enough of shotty in so many maps. Doubletap on the auto with sprint. Amazing.

I am not that great at shooters, most of the time I downright suck lol. I use the M60 with red dot 90% of the time, I just started trying out the M16 with ACOG Scope though and it's pretty good.

Frag x3 always for me, Stopping power and Martydom/Last stand depending on which map.

But now that i'm 55 and I could care less about my stats I have been running around with the 50 cal sniper rifle and having a blast with it lol.

My favorite setup thus far is easily Shotty + grip and M14 + red dot with steady aim perk. Grip takes up 1 perk and the other perk is obviously overkill. Fucking killing machine.
