This thread is a perfect example of why we shouldn't pay any attention to crazy people. Whenever someone makes a crazy statement, instead of getting upset about it you need to say to yourself "what a crazy statement" and move on with your day.

But then what would we have threads about? Things that actually happen? Now that's just crazy talk!Originally Posted by Septimus
Dude, this isn't just "someone" making a crazy statement. It's an educational institution making this statement and then forcing their students to conform or suffer harrassment. It's completely illegal and unconstitutional.Originally Posted by Septimus
I'm thinking whoever brought up the First Amendment in that article was stretching it just a little. It's probably not quite unconstitutional, but it's still illegal.
Yeah, I guess it's not unconstitutional. Never really did hear of Freedom of Conscience. I must have skipped that day in history class.Originally Posted by Charla

One thing I have learned about the news is to never judge a story on its first blush. This will burn around the news cycle for a few days, then someone from the school will probably show up and show how the whole thing was blown out of proportion and the things that were allegedly said never were. Then the media will get bored and Brittaney will forget to wear pants then the nation will move on.Originally Posted by Norelco

No, it is a good thing that the 24-hour news cycle is so predictable.Originally Posted by Demosthenes11

Someone pointed out to me that WND is pretty much a controversial news-site with an ultra-conservative lean. Could it be that this website is spinning the story to be more than it really is?

Those naggers really annoy me.
You didn't gather as much from the ads, merchandise or 'related links' on the site itself? The whole purpose of that site seems to be to inflame overreaction from the far right and bolster the support for the neo-con cause du-jour once they have their following chomping at the bit.Originally Posted by Norelco
Quick! Someone let 4chan know about this so we can get a Hal Turner 2.0, but this time on a whole university!
Or maybe it'll just get a couple waves of sage and a nice "anonymous is not your personal army!"
Of course it's racist, a white guy wrote it.Originally Posted by Demosthenes11
I only read a few other articles. I didn't look at any adverts or links. I still thought the site was a joke site when they had an article on Hamas thanking Richard Gere.Originally Posted by Correction
Man, I dunno about this article, but the U. of Delaware is really racist.
http://www.memecat.com/memes/university ... ball_fight look at all those white people. no nothing happens.
So I guess I'm racist for assuming that the "teachers" for this are black?
