Both quotes refer to certain American soldiers killing (and sometimes raping) Iraqi civilians. Democrats, Republicans, other soldiers, generals, you, me, your mom, and everyone else should be against this.

But it certainly is pandering to a specific base. VERY rarely do you hear good things out of their mouths about the 98% of soldiers that do none of those negative things.

If I tried to count the number of times I've heard a politician say "I support our troops, our brave men and women in the field" my head would probably explode. It's like the first thing out of their mouths when the issue comes up, regardless of party.

The idea that you can't talk about the negative repercussions of illegal soldier activity without being "pandering to a specific base" is ludicrous.

That second paragraph of John Kerry's statement is pretty sketchy as well. If thats what soldiers are doing over there, and he knows about it, where are the charges? If our senators can centure Rush Limbaugh for practicing his right to free speech, (thats what they did right?) surely Senator Kerry can bring charges against American troops for the things he described.

And it took to long to find just those two statements, I am not going to bother trying to find the quotes where Hillary and Harry Reid made similar statements.

There are hundreds of thousands of dead iraqi civilians in this conflict. This has serious ramifications. Failing to address this is failing to be a good leader.

I provided two quotes for two of the people I said that say our troops are terrorists. So no, I'm not saying "I'm not going to provide ANY evidence to back this up." I'm saying I will provide SOME evidence to back this up.
