Just killed that guy in your picture a minute ago (before server dropped me).
I chose the paladin type, so far having a blast. Still some graphic bugs, such as loading into a level without equipped items appearing, or any model but floating weapons as my model.

All and all a very fun game. I'm not seeing how there's a feeling of 'massive' community without an area chat. I guess that changes if you're in a guild?

Playing as "Peepers" now, marksman is just too easy.

An easy way to bring up chat is to hit the ` key.

I heard one of the lead developers on 1up Yours last week (Bill Roper I think) and they were talking about it.

It sounded pretty bad ass, but you never know.

Could you post some more screens? Like what your char. looks like and stuff.

This is with all the video quality settings set to "Low" because I really need a new graphics card. At full quality it looks sooo stunning. Also note this is from the Online play, Single-Player is a little different in that there aren't other PCs around. Also, the chat window you can toggle on and off (just found out about this today lol).

I'm only doing single player, and this character doesn't exist anymore (I keep changing shit like height/build+skin/hair colors) but shows somewhat what it's like on high. Also, yeah all my characters are level 1, only got to sit down with this for about an hour now and spent most of that screwing around and remaking characters >.>

lol that gun is fucking crazy, and yea that game looks pretty cool. I didn't realize it was such a futuristic vibe.

Btw, in that second pic that you posted it looks like the area where the Lower Jeuno Auction House is lol.

Also, are most of you guys premium players, or playing for free?

MArksman is a joke in this game so far. Already level 15 but I have been playing non stop. Haha it is sad that I just figured out you can change between weapons with the F1, F2, F3 Buttons!

AOE = F1, 1on1 = F2, Sniper = F3 makes the game a lot easier.

I play the free version. I don't know if you can become a subscriber yet or not (there were some bugs in the system, so they disabled it to fix). More than likely I'll give it 1-2 months and then decide if I want to subscribe since they're going to have updated content if you are.

Marksman really is "Easy Mode" for this game. I just got to level 10 on it, and I think I'm going to start a new character because of how easy it's been. So far I've tried Marksman (too easy), Evoker (need more time with it), and Guardian ( = PLD).

i don't know if i am doing something wrong here or what, but the marksman hasn't been easy all the time for me. I admit, most of the time it is, but when the enemies run faster than me, then im screwed especially when it takes me a long time to kill them, like the statue guys to finish act 1, and the boss one that turned the statues to life.

that boss took forever to kill. but maybe i just have bad armor, i dont know, my weapon strength on the sniper is like 100, the aoe one is like 65 and machine gun is like 6 also which is what i used.

So far I am enjoying the game, brings back so many d2 memories

You can buy and download this game off the EA site I think. For those of you who don't want to hop skip around town or whatever.

Clear the game on marksman (or summoner with elemental build) for an easy victory, then go back on the harder difficulties with what you would like to try out otherwise.

Clearing the single player game doesn't open the higher multiplayer difficulties, so plan ahead accordingly.

Makenshin, I too had difficulties beating the Act I statue guy as Marksman. I did the equivalent of the old zombie RNG days and won. I made a new character, Blademaster, and I'm having a blast with that. If you can, get some relics that increase range to add to your guns, and you're good to go. I went through Act I with a rocket launcher type gun and it was way too easy.

yea, the regular eneimes did die really easily, but that damn statue guy ran faster than me then i could run backwards, and then the attack that slowed ugh!! But, you add the relics through one of the machines right, or was that the crafter lady?

I just drag relics onto the weapon. Like if I have a sword with 2 battery slots, and a pentagram slot, I'll just drag a battery of pentagram onto it and it will add it.

How much like Diablo is this game? I'm strongly leaning towards buying this today.
