Applying for Odin World Emigration (Nov. 1)

With the discovery of Hades' plentiful FFXIApp users, we have decided to let players from the Odin World emigrate there in an attempt to level the playing field.

World Emigration differs from the World Transfer service in that there will be no need to purchase a World Transfer, and the 90-day exclusion from the World Transfer service will not apply.

*Characters who have already used the World Transfer service within the last 90 days will still be able to participate in World Emigration, but the 90-day exclusion from the World Transfer service will still continue.

Can we as a community of Odin come up with a list to help SE decide who should go?

    I promise we'll be fair....

But Hades is one of the least populated servers in all of FFXI, especially after everyone worldshifted away to Odin.

Oddly, we've had 2-3 shells sprout up and try to start camping kings and both disappear quickly. Now there's another new one, but there are a number of people in it that have been on Odin for some time and some older Odinites that just recently returned to game.

Aery runs pretty much at least 100 at all times; NA primetimes and weekends easily starts to push to over 180 and up lately. But we've also recently had one linkshell start camping again after leaving the Aery earlier this year since a leader finished a new job; and then, again, the newer shell which has some returning Odinites, some transfers, and others that just were never in endgame before.

Odin has seen a resurgence, though; we easily hit 4400+ weekends now. Thing is, I don't think most of them are actually HNM endgame players.

I think our Odin overpopulation is due to one person: Feiwong and his 2000 characters. He's got a new petition going, Odinites... lol.... Chilicheese just IMed me about it and I'm already rolling.

Watch out, Wyred, he's after you again. ;D

I'm surprised though. Do they really think anyone's going to want to go to Remora/Hades? No offense to the Remorans or Hadeans...

Aery will only hit about 100-120 on average unless you're in NA prime time. JP times, Aery will rarely hit 100 - never near that on a weekday. No non-King NM is actually 'camped' (tiamat, khim, etc.) - people generally will just use scouts and that's good enough for everyone - a good % of endgame shells actually won't/can't kill Tiamat so it's not heavily camped to be honest. Also got a free Cerb last night as well. I have seen some people camp khim but pretty rare I think. Has a huge JP population, but only a very small portion of that participates in any active competition endgame like kings. 3.5-4 Main NA competitive camping HNM LSs, and probably 2-2.5 still active JP ones (decimals are like kinda-sorta camping?).

Somehow I think the endgame interest on the server is pretty weak compared to other servers with large populations, but the population itself is definitely large. Very clean server. Feel very lucky I'm on it - I think you'd have to drag most people kicking and screaming to get someone from Odin to move to Remora or Hades. I remember they tried this before when those 2 servers first opened and I can't think of a single person that didn't regret it from here. Say war drama is awesome here, but steals are rare or non-existant. Last 2 KBs we got it had to have been yellow for 5-6 second periods at a time and no1 took it despite the fact it was easy to do so.

Incredible server. I don't think you'll find many people from Odin here or elsewhere that would tell you otherwise.

I dunno, Kae, Aery's population has spiked the last two weeks. Granted, I don't honestly do /seas that often to get counts, but I know I'm really fking laggy every time I camp, no matter when, so I figured us to be about a static 100.

But it is true, the HNM interest on this server compared to our size/population, is very low.

I tend to search a lot to look out for potential drama/entertainment. It really isn't that crowded. It's hard to believe people consider something like 60 bodies crammed in that little room "not alot" but I guess that's how things are now. If you consider the 4 or maybe 5 LSs that will routinely camp there, 2-3 of those will almost never break 18 and 2 will typically be in the mid-upper 20s. That comes out to below 100ish usually I think. I think I lag pretty badly just looking at the 6 darters + waterfalls in the room alone so I can't use that as a factor.

Odin is drama-free compared to some of the wars I have seen on BG. When Feiwong is your largest drama magnet, then you are doing something right.

I know a fuckton of people from Hades have shifted to Phoenix. idk about Remora, but who wouldn't want to get out of that hell hole, from the numerous horror stories we're all familiar with
