To commemorate the release of the "Wings of the Goddess" expansion pack, a special event entitled "Crystal War Revisited" will begin on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 01:00 PST.

Which nation do you think was most influential in the outcome of the Crystal War?

This controversy can only be resolved by you!
Capture crystal fragments from beastman-held positions to attain victory and glory for your nation!

That's right, an anachronistic outbreak of the Crystal War in the modern day! And this time, who better to shoulder the burden of battle than the mighty adventurer!

Is it just me, or do they look awfully, awfully out of place? Like something you would download from a DAT site after searching for Elton John or something..

Well.. at 33 you can get one with 10 accuracy!

Well, yeah, but I don't feel like running around for hours killing NM's for headgear I won't use at a lvl that matters (read: 75). But then again, I think I've only ever attended one event, and that was the tree killing one to activate the regional outpost teleportation. Although I doubt I'll be able to participate in this event at all anyway, as I'll be in Egypt when it starts.

The lolwiki also states this, though, about the event, that I can not find in Elmer's translation:

Spectacles? Without a craft? I won't believe it until I'm wearing them, but this would be one of my biggest wishes in FFXI come true (yeah, my aspirations aren't huge).

I thought the HQ Spectacles were +3 Acc -30 acc at night..since you're wearing sunglasses at night o.O; maybe I'm wrong.
