I 5 star'd almost everything on Easy and Medium drums and beat both storylines...

I started Hard and was doing pretty well until I played Here it goes again (I think that's what it was anyways...) and the fucking double tap killed me (I don't play the real drums, so what may be obvious to some who do is completely new to me..) Is there any trick to do these? I seem to have a real hard time grasping it, especially when there's a note on one of them (like, yellow+ bass then just bass following it, or bass>yellow+bass, I almost always fuck it up and when I do't it seems like I had no idea what I was doing heh.)

Any tips? ;x :elmer:

I just jerk my body forward when it comes so the weight makes my foot hit the pedal.
And fuck you, bass makes up for a good change of pace (Helloooo Highway Star)
It was great for a friend too, he's in the hard-expert zone, and bass is mainly constant single notes, so it helps him learn how to alt-strum.

I tried singing on this... it just soorta neded up to where we were "trying to sound funny as possible with weird voiceing" like one my friends that came over tried to sing a female song in a really high ptiched voice and the guy with the guitar was singing along with a soorta "latino" accent ...I dunno just ended up laughing and screwing up most all the notes because we were fucking around with the singing as bad as possible all night ;/

I kick ass at singing, finished the expert tour a few weeks ago.

Protip: Don't try to go into the octave the singer is in, just change the pitch. Then again there are certain people who are just naturally better at it... just keep practicing, like with everything it comes with time heh :D

Oh yeah and fuck the drummer from fall out boy. I can't beat it

I had fun singing the new songs today, I ended up singing Attack in a sorta high pitched female voice as well I can't seem to hit those high notes with my regular voice =x.

And yes the drummer from Fall Out Boy can go eff himself, I can't beat that song either.

I don't play drums either but I got the hang of it after a while. Just get used to hitting the bass pedal twice when you see it coming up, and don't think of it as two notes, just one. Or that's what I do so I just automatically hit it twice.

The drummer from FoB is awesome, they just need to get rid of their bass player and they could be great. lol

Yeah I did get a little better after replaying it a couple of times and ended up 5 staring the song heh... the leap from Medium to Hard is pretty steep though, taking a lot of practice to nail the damn bass. >.<

Despite hating rock band for the longest time, I played Green Grass and High Tides yesterday and oh lawd I fell in love. The note chart was spot on and the solo was by far my favorite out of any song in the game. I'm tempted to buy a 360 and RB just to have that on hand.

that is the whole point of rock band, to make you feel like you're in a band, not just playing a game. accurate note charts help that, even if in the end the game doesn't wind up being hard at least it doesn't feel forced.

Yeah lol, even though the song was insanely hard for me to beat on expert I still had a lot of fun attempting to beat it. It's the only reason I kept trying until I finally did, even though it takes about 9 freakin' minutes to get to the part where I would usually fail.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think from the hardest song on medium and the easier songs on hard are about the same, but I don't have that much experience drumming since my brother usually handles that (plays drums irl).

I was actually 5 staring the hardest songs on medium and barely 4 staring the first and second tiers on hard lol... but I got better now.

BTW it does help if you consider the double tapping 1 note heh...

Since I play with a bunch of friends I have about 50 million bands:

I'll have a friend play one time, and at that time of the bands creation they ended up being the leader. They'll play like one time, then never again. So I have a bunch of bands we can't use. It takes like 30 seconds of scrolling before I get to the band with the Endless Setlist I could just delete them, but that would take effort.

So I broke my kick pedal and now am fucked for the drums....I had 3 songs to beat on medium too....The pedal cracked in half towards the bottom, where you rest your heel at, and the top half of the pedal like fell forward. The only way I can think of fixing this is to try and superglue it together, but not sure if that will work. Does anyone know if there are plans to release individual drum kits and or kick pedals down the road, or am I pretty much done without having to buy the damn package again. =(
