when my pedal broke they sent me 2 lol
when my pedal broke they sent me 2 lol
Ok this is another misconception. There are one or two places in the Roadrunner songs where this applies (Various later points in "My Curse", "Constant Motion" etc.), but for the most part it actually does follow the double bass on the chart. Trust me when I say this, I play drums, and not just on Rock Band. A lot of these double bass rolls would sound like shit if they were, in fact, doubled in speed. It is hard to distinguish one specific sound source, especially bass drum, in metal songs like that. Often times the guitar is played on a lower, much more distorted riff which, when combined with a steady bassline, can blend the sounds together.
Also, GNR's gonna rock.
Bleh that video is gone now.. ;;
Ugh more shit...
Devo - "Girl U Want" (new original recording) - 160 MSP - $1.99

Found a better link to Shackler's Revenge since YouTube takes it all down: http://media.putfile.com/WackyShacky
also, agreed that tuesday's DLC is complete shit after the Roadrunner pack![]()
It seems to be the pattern though, so i'm used to it... 1 week of awesome dlc followed by shit.
And I love you so much right now for posting that link lol.It sounds nothing like original GnR stuff, but I really like it. Nice solo, too.
HMX's usual pattern is 1 week of GREAT dlc, followed by 'meh' weeks (and the fact that the pack is meh doesn't mean it doesn't have 1-2 good songs on it, but overall it's usually not worth buying the entire pack)... last week was a great week, boston's 6 pack was a great dlc week, etc.
I just want RB2 to come out already (1 month from today iirc), 80 new songs is awesome.
When I broke my bass pedal, I just went through standard replacement and got the new one within a week, however since I never gave them a credit card or any info to expedite the shipping, I never sent the broken one back. I was never contacted by them and nothing was ever sent to me for an invoice.
As for RB2, I've been really working on the mic for RB1, which is something I stay away from usually, trying to really get the pitches down for 2, since 2 has a TON of songs that I absolutely love singing. I may take the week off work for vacation to unlock all 80 songs for the following weekend lol, and my usual jam sessions with friends.

to me it seems like for every good song on the game there is a shitty song maybe even more shitty songs then good
ive been trying to sing and play lately but i havent sang past hard when doing both
Eye of the Tiger is gonna be awesome lol.
I'm pretty good on vocals now, but I have trouble with weird songs like NIN (except for Perfect Drug which has somewhat normal vocals..) and Sabotage. >.> I end up just humming the right pitch and getting it down, but it isn't as fun as actually singing the words.
I can't stand doing vocals solo though, I usually practice it in band world tour in a band I created specifically for working on the guitar/vocals combo.
Well I know most of the songs by now, maybe not 100% but I steal quick glances over to the top and get the next batch of lyrics, it's not so bad. But there are some songs that are just horrible/impossible to sing at the right pitch because you're trying to sound like the vocalist (like the C&C songs, or Run to the Hills..)
I could just sing with my own tune and match the lines perfectly but you're kind of forced to try and sound like him so it gets fucked up.
RB2 seems to have better songs in general though, so they'll be easier to sing (I just hope there's nothing as boring as the first 3 tiers of RB1... MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPS THEY DON'T LOVE ME LIKE I LOVE YOU ughughugh/puke)
I find myself using two feet for the double bass patterns out of habit, same with the blue note on the hit-hat lifts, I always seem to lift my left foot.
Any other RL drummers have weird habits? I notice when I sit on my kit now I'm kinda light handed at first trying not to break it lol, but 2 mins on the fucker sets that straight![]()
I've noticed that I also lift my left foot when they switch hi-hat to blue lol. I don't tend to do the same thing for double bass, though. I have noticed that on fast snare rolls I try doing a buzz roll but I don't get any bounce so that fails lol.
As we have announced in the first issue of the Rock Band Community Zine, next week's DLC - for Tuesday, August 26th, will be Rush's Moving Pictures.
Here's the track-list:
