Scholar and /SCL just opened up a new form of CC.

It doesn't necessarily mean any enfeeble or dark spell.

I assume the enfeebles will be limited to Bindga, Graviga, Blindga, Paralyga, and Slowga. Poisonga perhaps as well. These spells are already in the game. Maybe adding in a Bioga?

Dark spells.. I wonder if they're implenting AOE Drain and Aspir spells? Or if they just mean the element (ie: Sleep).

Edit: Something just occurred to me. I wonder if Scholar will be getting Break, and with Elemental Presence, the ability to do Breakga? (over 37 of course)

Divine seal allows single target spells to affect multiple targets, and doesn't turn them into ga versions of the spell. The fact that the spell does not exist as a ga doesn't mean that it cant be made to affect multiple targets.

That's true, but as Elmer said, the Scholar cast "Graviga". Whether he actually used Graviga, and not Gravity that hit multiple targets, I guess we wouldn't know for sure. But if it's the former, then I would assume it's limited to certain spells.

I agree, I think many people are interpreting what the job will do. I do not believe that it turns non-AoE spells into AoE ones, just that it gives the Scholar AoE spells of their own when they use the Black Grimoire, thus subbing Scholar would not turn spells of the main job into AoE spells.

how can someone not know how to play all the jobs in FFXI after having atleast 1 75? i mean i wouldn't expect you excell in them all. but i would expect you to atleast beable to use the job very well. i dunno things like that are just wow to me...

I'm 75 in 4 jobs (WAR, SMN, RDM, PUP) and yet if I got banned today and had to start playing someone elses BLM tomorrow, I'd have no clue what I was doing. Sure, I can cast Thunder IV, but in my experience, I've seen a large variation in the skills and intelligence of BLMs and there's got to be something that separates the dumb ones from the good ones. Same goes for playing WHM, or SAM, or any other job. I can cure, and I can whack stuff, but I'm pretty sure I'd suck the first time I play someone's level 75 WHM or SAM.

Thats one of the reasons why I leveled all the jobs to 37, not only are some of them fun subs (BLM/DRG is really fun to goof around on), but it gives you a good sense in how that job works. Sure maybe if you were leveled up from 37 to 75 in one hour you may not be the best at it, but youll have a good idea on how that job works. But if youve never touched the job, I wouldnt trust the opinions given.

I'm 37+ on every job (except BST35 and DRG11), so I know the basics of the jobs. Like I said, I'm sure I could cast Thunder IV and I can time a MB. But there's a big difference between what's considered good at 75 and what's good at 37.
