Possible Windower Countermeasures?[Recent Patch]

I couldn't find any information regarding the most recent update. I heard it was part of a series of smaller updates in preperation for WotG, which makes sense, so I didn't think much of it and went about my daily business as usual. However, about an hour after logging in and doing events, several pieces of gear were suddenly missing from my inventory. I had them on me when I logged on, they had just seemingly vanished[All at once]. A few pieces of gear then mysteriously returned to my inventory after about 60 seconds had gone by. I then relogged and all that was missing was restored.

I am an avid user of windower macros. My only explanation at this point is that it was either a completely random bug or some kind of countermeasure for windower users. If you take a look at the recent changes they've been talking about[PoL windower, increased macros, etc.], it definitely seems like they're trying to discourage the need for windower. No damage was actual damage was done, but making many of your items temporarily inaccessible severly disrupts gameplay and does a good job of making windower macros pointless.

Anyways, if this has also happened to you, please post here. I plan on continuing to use windower macros to see what happens. Hopefully I won't have another heart attack when it appears as if I've accidently dropped my Duelist's Chappeau >_>

I've been using windower macros and haven't noticed anything different, so I'd guess it must have been a random fluke.

it's just lag, ppl have reported it before. items don't load right away, they freak out, they find the item later. it's not some big SE conspiracy against windower where they are stealing your items.

I was in the zone for several minutes before the items were removed. I had many of them equipped and had seen them in my inventory before they dissapeared. I definitely was not lag from changing areas.

Yeah, but calling a single, random occurrence "Possible Windower Countermeasures" is jumping to conclusions... now if you had just posed it as "Possible Windower Bug?" or "Possible Game Bug" I could see that... >.>

But if SE wanted to hose Windower they could do it in a lot easier fashion then making you lose a few items randomly. That's pretty obscure... They could simply make the game not load through Windower anymore.

It's a bug. I had my Astute Cape disappear (while it was equipped) once in the middle of Dyna-Xarc, I nearly shit my pants because I thought I had dropped it. Logged out and back in and it was back, along with the other stuff that I hadn't noticed was missing.

Has nothing to do with Windower or anything, it's just shitty coding and lag.

I play on ps2 and it happened to me in the past.
Random items at a random time.

Bug. Re-zoning or logging off/on always fixes it.
