There used to be duping in the game before it got fixed. No reason to think that a new method for duping couldn't ever be found.

I'm saying in the code long ago it was possible to sell the same item to a npc over and over that happened once. Do I think they fixed it ..yes and could it be done again? hell no

there was actual duping completely separate from glitched NPCs. it's completely possible it could still be possible through another means, but in this case the hacking-to-mining-point crap sounds more likely (who knows though, none of us).

At one point, simply forcing your S to go to 0 could achieve a duping effect. A bunch of stuff got duped on Fairy, including like 6 or 7 Kraken Clubs. SE fixed it, though (and I think they tagged and removed some of the Clubs from circulation as well, though I can't be sure about that).

This is gonna be hard to patch for S-E...Except by removing these ores from the list of minable items in the whole zone...ISNM onry would make the price skyrocket again :/

Fixing one exploit/bug doesn't mean there aren't others out there waiting to be found.

I'm not saying there is definitely another duping bug, I'm saying that it's always a possibility.

In this case, it's the RMT POS porting through the walls. One of the miners in the Alla thread camped out a mining point until one of these anon miners showed up, and he could /target <anon miner's name> and saw him inside the wall.
