On my third shard I received this message. Is this the equivalent of "Too many people have checked the crystal today, wait for the next game day before checking the crystal again"?

No, it's the equivalent to "You've checked this crystal too many times this trip, GTFO and go back to the moogle and try again."

Most of the time, you can only get 1 or 2 shards (lesser or greater beastmen stronghold, respectively), sometimes you can get 2 or 4.

I'm doing the 6th area now, we'll see if there's anything special from doing that!

Edit: Gay, nothing special for doing one harvest from each area.

i got them all, didnt do anything.

after i traded my first shard, the moogle said "now i need 3 shards for the next reward"

Need 3 shards for the next reward? Moogle never said that to me. I've turned in 9 total now, heading for a 10th. And what do you mean you always get 5? <_<

i got 5 total (2 from oztro, 3 from second ghelsba trip), i think you have to bring exactly 3 shard back to the mog, unless you need a very high total of shards. i'm @ 16 right now.

Oh also, this event starts exactly 2 weeks before expansion, and ends on the sale date - didn't they say in campaign, the winning nation will receive special bonuses for the tally? I think the winners of this decides who's gonna start off the tally for the expansion.

You don't need to CFH. I watched a ninja solo the NM in Palb and I was able to harvest twice. First touch got one shard, touched again and got 3.

the only 2 i killed (ghelsba/beadeaux) poped right when i reached crystal, it seems to repop in 12-15min, same repop as crawlers in the crystal room in beadeaux i think (NM poped with them )

A while back, there were NMs like these in the beastmen strongholds that appeared for a few seconds then vanished. They repopped every 2 hours. Perhaps, if there's any connection to these NMs, these also have a 2 hour repop? Afterall, most NMs are at least 2 hours, if not more.

It appears they pop once per game day, no more no less.

i'm from bastok... i got "quest", went to beadeaux and got 2 ... returned to moogle for glasses, went to palborough got 1, i'm not at davoi and it says the crystal is badly damaged, although i've to harvest from this one... is there any reason why i can't get it?

Probably have to drop off the crystal from Palb before you can get any more.

Just wait for the NM to re-pop. Once it dies, try to click on the Huge Crystal again.

Huge Crystals have a limit, just killed NM, checked 2min after and i cant get any shards from it, must be a limit

checked a post on KI about what the mog can say and it sounds like the higher rewards are linked to the total shards you bring back.
