Hmm, so does this mean that every server's MVN will get the new teleport NPC once this event is over, or only the top server's MVN like they stated before?

I just hope San d'Oria wins, I don't want to change to Bastok or Windurst and redo my OPs just to have full mobility capability.

I hope so. I have Ronfaure anyways, which is the most useful of the starter outposts, but I'd love to be able to get to Windy instantly for Dynamis.

Got my specs on my first trade, which was 4 crystals (1 and 3, Pal Mines, killed NM). Trying for HQ now, although I have no idea how many it's gonna take. Also, on Lakshmi at least, Bastok seems to be totally dominating. I took a trip up to Ghelsba to check out the Sandy presence, and there was a total of one guy waiting for the NM, compared to 20+ in Pal.

I think that "top server" thing might just be something you made up, or intentionally misconstrued from something previously written and came to accept as fact. I don't personally remember ever seeing that.

It's there, and they did the same thing for past events. However they eventually gave it to all the servers.

I actually remember them saying something about the top server, too, but it was my understanding that the top nation on each server received the teleporting service, and the top server would receive an additional gift of some sort. I can't find where this was originally stated, though, so maybe two of us hallucinated.

Before the official implementation of Campaign, there is a “rehearsal” planned in the form of an event called, “Crystal War Revisited.” Beginning of November 8th, players will have a chance to compete for a prize of red sunglasses. The victorious nation will also receive a special vendor selling goods exclusive to their homeland. In addition, the World with the greatest results will get a special Tele-point that allows travel between the three nations, not to mention the possibility of “HQ sunglasses.” Adventurers everywhere should be ready to enthusiastically take on this challenge.

Looks like town gear to me, part mp/rest gear, part idle gear earth/heralds (if those are actually heralds), and part nuke.

It's actually my idle gear, with Black Cloak and Yigit Seraweels hastily replaced with weskit/Mahatma for aesthetic effect. Didn't occur to me until afterwards that I should probably have put on real rings and neckwear.

Edit: Yeah, they're real gaiters too.

How so? They are being permanently added for a specific nation on a specific server after completion of the event (maybe activated when the expansion is?), with nobody else on the same or other servers ever having a hope of the same luxury, I thought.

Where did you read that they'd be temporary, and how long will they be up?

Thinking back, was there any special reward for the poem thing? I remember Phoenix was one of the first few to get 5 moogles but dont recall anything special about the event.

If they do allow town to town teleporting. I hope whomever gets it first will have a free version forever. Then overtime the other servers will gain it but cost gil to use or something. Pitting all servers against each other for something like this does seem a bit harsh. Then again this is SE.
