If u have a level 75 smn, camp the NM. The nm will agro carby and u might have a shiny new e.bow in the morning.

I'm not a level 75 SMN, lol, my SMN is level 12 I think, but when a mob aggros you your pet auto-attacks it? If so I think the idea is that carby would keep killing PH's until NM aggroed and then kill then NM?

if this is indeed true i might try it out >_> i want vali bow but fuck that nm, heard too many horror stories about it. I guess the question is are the PH and NM high enough level that they will aggro you?

The PH won't aggro you, The NM, however, will aggro you. That's why staying in the middle of the room is the best to get your ToD. If no one kills, all night, PH should be ready in the morning. Otherwise, if someone claims, it should be written in your log (and thanks to timestamp, it seems easier to get exact time now).

You sure auto attack carby can defeat the NM alone?
More importantly... how the heck you'll get attacked by NM? I thought it'll be very low chance some unlucky guy leave the room empty, giving up, and the next pop to pop is ES.

I assumed the same thing until I woke up dead at my homepoint one night =/.

The NM will agro, the PH will not. Keep Carby up and it should be strong enough to kill. My friend did it, and she has a Vali's Bow.

Why would it agro? Well some people are stupid enough to kill PH then leave before seeing if the NM pops.

Fuck the Shadow NM's, saw the goddamn Western Shadow go through three 30+ hour windows and finally left.

Never did find out exactly what was up with the weird linking behavior of the PH's.

I know that when (that NM/opposing NM?) window is up, they will link, used this to successfully pop all three of the other NM's, but Western just refused to be timely, and after I think it was 4 fucking hours the PH's stop linking.

Drove me insane for a while, finally left and just sold some shit off and bought CC's.

There is also the O. Crossbow probably very comparable DPS wise in XP, and since damage is split between straight damage and add'l effect that's a bit less hate for you.

And Hellfire/Hellfire +1 which due to bigger base damage might be preferrable on endgame stuff.

If you have multiple 75s, chances are you wont really be ASKED to come ranger to something.

Therefore, why have a 2m bow laying around for the once in every 8 months times you will come ranger to something. Selenes is nearly as good and entirely free.

If you are a career ranger, this shouldn't even be a question. E/V-bow or leave.
