    Gogo Black Friday...

Figure we could use this thread to post some amazing price points....These are full ad scans, just figured Id post stuff that I thought would fit into the demograph of these forums. I'll try to edit this when I come across more shit, if I can remember to that is...

    Target:
    Items to note:
    37" 1080i LCD HDTV: $549
    500GB external hard drive: $87

    http://downloads.bfads.net/BFAds-Target.zip

    Sears:
    Items to note:
46" Sharp Aquos LCD HDTV: $999.99 (no fucking way this can be 1080p this cheap, if it is, this bitch will be mine).

    http://downloads.bfads.net/BFAds-Sears_2007.zip

I'm giddy about the best buy ad...also, anyone know if amazon is having a similiar deal like the $100 xbox of last year?

fuck black friday. Fry's is the only retail store I have worked at where you have to work from 5am to 10pm or later cause they are too damn cheap to hire enough people where we can work a more realistic 8-10 hour schedule.

On topic though, where are these ad's coming from. I know Fry's doesn't even send the pdf of the ad to the stores till the night before thanksgiving to minimize the risk of it getting leaked.

Bunch of them get leaked at the printing source.

There's this big complex of department store and shit near my house. Best Buy at the bottom, Target at the top. So hopefully I can rape and pillage my way through both and get some crazy shit. I'm mostly going for a laptop or a PS3. If I can I'll go for an LCD TV if they're cheap like OPs.

    Re: Gogo Black Friday...

Im praying for a 40" Bravia 1080p for 1200 or less. If not a Bravia, then possibly a Samsung 1080p for around the same price. The 46" Aquos for 1000 blows my mind, and the regular price of that particular TV in 1080p form is over 2000. The ad says 1800 reg price. Leads me to believe it may be a 1080i or 720p. No clue why I'm so anal about paying the extra bucks for a 1080p when it's nigh impossible to tell the difference on a >50" screen sitting more than a couple feet away. I guess it goes with the "I AM MAN, MUST HAVE BEST TOY" mindset.

Why not go Vizio? Their 1080p 42 inch is $899 normal pricing.

Vizio's have great prices, but almost every consumer review complains about the blacks and shadow detail. There's also been complaints of blurring during fast motion. Im pretty determined to get a bravia or samsung, but would be hard pressed to turn down a 46" aquos for 1000 if its 1080p.

I have a Samsung and I love it if that helps, since that was one of the ones you were considering.

The one in the Sears ad is 720p.

It actually supports 1080i. Just looked up the model number. Still a really really good price for that TV.

    Re: Gogo Black Friday...

Well if it supports 1080i, that mean it has a res of 1920x1080 but it doesn't say that on the sears site. So if it does support 1080i, what would be the difference between that and 1080p when using it as a computer monitor?

If I can get a good HD that'll fit in my tiny room (27 to 30 inches) for a good prices I might have to just splurge on the credit card and get one.

    I think only 1080P gets the 1920x1080 resolution. My 32" supports 1080i, but I'm limited to 1366x768.

No, 1080i is still 1920x1080, it's just refreshed every other vertical line, not every line as in progressive. The resolution is still the same. 720i/p is 1280x720.
