I'm intrigued to see if anyone take pride in this in the same way they would take pride in smoking pot.

I doubt it, neither should give someone pride. However, smoking pot is slightly better than huffing sewage.

I'm not sure they feel pride, per se, but I think it's just that pot smokers think it's natural and ok and so don't feel a need to hide it. At least the ones I've known show about as much pride in it as when they get a good deal on tortillas off Craig's List.

Of course, there are the ones who are a little over-enthusiastic ("Duuuude, I'm so high right now! Look at me!"), but those kind of people exist for just about any type of activity.

But, in regards to the spirit of the argument, I sure hope nobody thinks huffing sewage is natural and ok, let alone takes pride in it.
