I would say I like the majority of the songs on Amp. I really like the end of Vermicide when Cedric's voice goes sky high for the last chorus.

Got the CD this morning at 10:30 and was late to my class, but was well worth it. Listening to it as we speak and I am more than satisfied so far. My roommate put it well, "They are destroying me."

Hated the album at first glance with the leaked MP3's. Having the CD itself now, hoooooly sheeit. I lurv.

It's funny too how they say Mars Volta is becoming more mainstream; TBIG couldn't sound any less mainstream.

They aren't getting mainstream, people are just idiots.

They change their sound from album to album so they don't get bored playing everything over and over. At the show I went to Cedric basically said that making a new album sound like the old one was stupid.

Every time I listen to this album it gets better and better. The beginning of Ilyena is fucking great. A strange effect on his voice that makes it sound deeper and higher at the same time, with a short loop, and then it just breaks down right in your face.

Metatron for sure
Wax simulacra even though its kinda short it really gets stuck in my head
and of course goliath is just badass.

not the least bit disappointed in this album. metatron & goliath definitely, but i was really (pleasantly) surprised with ouroborous. i've never been able to play single tracks from these guys though. i'm pumped.

I haven't listened to Bedlam yet, I just now picked it up. I did however see them live last Friday. It was fucking amazing. 3 hours of none stop sexy rocking. They took like 5 2-3 minute breaks at most. I can die happy now.
