Yeah they get aware of the fact that there's an assassin in town, and they know what you look like too.

BTW if you haven't been, play the game over and TALK TO LUCY after each memory block... most of Desmond's story is gotten through those conversations, so you're missing a huge chunk of storyline if you ignore her after each memory block is complete and go to sleep instead.

You know when you can go to sleep when she says "aren't you tired?" followed by "can't talk.. gotta work".

Hmm, I've tried the shortblade out, especially in counters, and never found myself doing as well as I do with the longsword.

Is there anything in particular that makes the small blade better?

I don't think it's one of those "it's better than the other" things... towards the end they both get upgraded, but who knows. Exoduso probably knows if there's a significant difference. Never really noticed a huge difference myself since I typically only do combo-/counter-kills.

Well it's quicker for once.. other than that, there's nothing really different other than the fact that I like the short blade's animations a lot better than the sword's. (the hidden blade's punch in the fucking EAR with the blade is still the CLEAR #1 winner though.. )

Both I think, and I usually do them a favor and kill them. The ones without shirts on grumbling to themselves are retards I think, the ones with a bottle in hand (or whatever it is back in the day) are drunks.

Like said above, for the achievement for harassers, it's the women beggars. I get much joy from grabbing a woman and pushing her, especially if I'm near a set of stairs. Always get a little chuckle, especially when they get up and start running around yelling that you tried to kill them.

I finished the game two days ago (I think?) and to be honest I was kinda... I dunno, not too thrilled about it. Not the very ending, but the last fight. To avoid any QQing, I'll small text it, but seriously if you're even looking at this thread you should be done with the game, it's not that long or hard.

I didn't really like how the Piece of Eden or whatever could make illusions... I mean, the whole game was more or less based on loose realism sans the Animus, and then they throw a sci-fi thing into the past? I liked the reasoning for it at least, mentioning the parting of the red sea and whatnot, but it just seemed out of place in my opinion.

If the second or third game is modern-day play-as-Desmond, I think that'd be fucking awesome. Can't wait for the second game regardless, I just hope it doesn't suck.

P.S. Some of you probably have enough sense not to, but don't buy Kane & Lynch. Probably shouldn't even rent it, it was a waste of time with a shit ending. Definitely don't buy or rent it if you're an achievement whore, most of them are from multi-player and co-op. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I would imagine that eventually one of the games will be about Desmond gameplay completely... hell maybe even the next game. The only reason I think it will be held off until the 3rd installment is because 2 games about Desmond might be pushing it, and it seems like he only starts gaining some power now Using Altair's Eagle Vision in the end obviously shows that if you use the Animus long enough you can apparently gain some of those abilities he puppeteered..

Regardless, I'm looking forward for the next installment to tell us more about Subject #16 that left all the signs, etc. Desmond's story was pretty interesting for me, with the whole sci-fi twist adding a little flavor to what seemed to be a regular boring futuristic abduction to get some crap out of somebody's head. If used right, the Piece of Eden storyline could get extremely interesting in the next games.

Also, 2 interesting things I've kind of thought of after beating the game.. First of all, if the Red sea parting was supposedly done because of the Piece of Eden, aka it never happened, how did the people actually get across to the other side? That's kind of the plothole they forgot to mention, because the jewish people DID cross to the other side, or else they'd still be in Egypt. 2nd of all, I might've missed it but is Lucy an actual Assassin or is she just being a double agent for them? Oh and 1 more thing actually now that I think about it.. am I the only one that realized the piece of eden was showing locations of other pieces in the fucking AMERICAS and none of the people that joined Altair, or Altair himself for that matter, recognized it? (or at least, they didn't from what we saw heh they were just gazing at it..) I thought it was kind of funny since it WAS 1191 after all.

One of the conference room e-mails mentions a ship from experiment #18 or something "existing temporarily in the future". If you look at the Apple itself, it has a kind of futuristic look to it--perhaps relics from the future that got lost on an expedition to the past or something?
