LOL at the fact that 1Up readers gave the PC and PS3 versions 7.6 and the 360 version an 8.0.
Having played a few more hours i've realized a few things. Once you get the hang of fighting, it's a joke. It's easy to take on 6-7 guys and not get hit once. Second is that the gameplay gets repetitive quick. There's only so many times you can eavesdrop or pickpocket or climb towers before it gets old. Having assassinated a few targets already and i've seen no change in the pattern of investigating > killing the target.
As long as this thing is better than that spiderman 3 BS, I'll (probably) be happy ;<. Game seems fun as hell, even w/the repetition >_> but we'll see...
Never played spiderman 3, but yes the game is still loads of fun, and the graphics are top-notch. It's like Crackdown with knives and swords.Originally Posted by Pro
Yea that is what the review had said, that it is just doing the same things over and over again in identical enviroments for the whole game.
He said there were 3 different areas with different colors, but they played identically.

Playing back-to-back with the 360 version, it's obvious that Ubisoft did not devote enough resources to the PS3 edition. The framerate is considerably worse, so much so that it begins to affect gameplay in the later levels. You can get through the first two-thirds of Assassin with the framerate being just an annoyance, but it becomes more of an issue for the final third of the missions.
It's not as if it's only a problem on the PS3. The 360 version also has considerable pop-in and frame rate issues according to them as well.Originally Posted by Semitry

Then you've got other sites saying that the PS3 has a better framerate.

You realize that site x is biased towards Sony and site y is biased towards MS, right?
They're IDENTICAL, stop trying to make excuses for your choice. If you have a 360, get that version for the achievements because you will get more out of the game as a replay value later on when you try and achieve them... if you only have a PS3 that's great too, because the game will be exactly the saaaaaaaaaaame. :D
Jesus people... there's a reason I put what I put in the original post, I knew the stupid console war debate shit will start. Just talk about the actual game okay? no one cares what version you play it on or if you have 1 small screen tearing during the entire 20 hour period of the playthrough.
Besides, we all know the DS version will be better than both.
Personally, I plan on only renting it which really disappoints me since I was seriously hoping this game would be one of if not the best game of the gear.
@ircgeek: Totally true especially considering that the DS version of CoD4 put all of the others to shame.
So you guys think it's possible to beat this game in one day if you have a shit load of free time on your hands? If so then I might just take it from my store on friday night if I can return it saturday when I open >_>
Probably not, unless you play it for like 20 hours in one sitting and ignore all side quests, etc.

comparison between the two versions... looks the same to me (both are on HDMI i'm assuming..)
I dont know about you guys, but i think some of those magazine ratings, are kinda "fixed" if you know what i mean.
I usually dont look for those, i just look for demos and videos of the gameplay itself, Godbless Youtube
Hmm so do you guys think this game is worth it to buy? the reviews seem a bit low and the fighting gameplay is strange but review scores shouldn't be trusted sooo what do you guys that have bought it think?
