Train in Gustaberg in WoTG?

A few years ago people found .dats of a railroad system in South Gustaberg but was taken out of the final game for whatever reason. The only remnants are a few peices of railroad tracks that remain, and {train} in the autotranslator. Anyone think that the Gustaberg area in WoTG will have the train system?

I don't know, I heard other people found it in their .dats as well, and JP said it's been there since 2002 release.

The JP autotranslate is ???? which has nothing to do with the moving kind. It's the verb that gets autotranslated, not the noun.

I thought 'to train" was just player slang for aggroing a bunch of mobs and running around? Which is why we don't have autotranslations for other player slang terms like tank,aggro,link,mpk.

It's in the DATs, but the whole zone looks very pre-release. It's not Gustaberg, either. There's some grass and some bridges over low rivers, it's not all rocks and chasms like Gustaberg. There's also a village or something that looks like it's made out of wood, and there are signs pointing to a forest called "The Chocobo Forrest" (or maybe "The Chocobo Wood"). Parts of it seem a lot like the character creation screen.

It seems like it was from a very early design of the game and was abandoned.

I think that people say Gustaberg because of the tracks the are visible in Bastok Markets.

Supposedly there is an inaccessible cave somewhere on a cliff-face in South Gustaberg that is rumored to have tracks in it as well. (I cannot speak to the veracity of this.)

....That's the last stand, a zone that's been in the game since it started. It has been mentioned in practically every expansion speculation conversation since then. It has nothing to do with anything and odds are it never will. There is absolutely no reason a train would not still exist.

I believe that's the char selection and char creating zone. Possibly was ment to be a zone when the game was first created.

It's just some type of beta testing zone with a number of weird little novelties, like a fort, that mono-rail thing, and a "Chocobo forest". The last stand and the character creation zones are separate areas. Old news is old.

SE stated the train was removed due to it being "too technically advanced" it reached from Bastok to that town (it is a town) or a fort, and you can see proof from the indents in South Gustaberg right outside of the mines exit/entrence, big gaping hole, with 2 smaller holes on top and bottom (indicating the track and where the train goes obviously).

Because the type of train it was didn't go together with airships, they said it was to advanced for bastok, (since bastok can't have both Airships and a train system) if you want a source, find the interviews yourself
