Need info on Serpent General battle @ Altana Festival

Was there an item rewarded that allowed you to repeat it in-game(yet)? Was it limited to 6 people? What was the name?

EDIT: I was able to find out the name and that it involved 18 player alliances. Still need to know about the item.

Another Question: Was the item rewarded to repeat Heroes Combat outside the Fanfest really called Hero's Orb?

No, I still have mine. It's a "Cordial Invite". And before you ask, the item to let you do Heroines Combat is a "Martial Ball Invite".

Invites are given at the fanfest, or maybe only if you take part in it? I don't know, never been.
Yes you need the invite to do them? lol I don't think everyone needs an invite but once again I'm not 100% certain and the reward afaik is just a super title- someone who actually has them is probably a better source

The mini-FanFest I went to in College Station, TX, a couple years ago, where they showcased the Heroe's Combat pretty much, I was waiting in line to enter next to some guys from various servers. A guy came out & said that there would be some special event in game that we should buddy up for - just enough people to form a PT. Then, they came out & explained what would be happening, and for us to register our "team name". Inside, each team combatted one another in Diorama Ballista - without the rooks, just a simple 6 vs 6 kill fest. Any team that won 3 single elimination rounds would get to try out Heroe's Combat. Our team plowed it's way through 3 competitor teams, and they let us have the first shot at Heroes Combat. We chose to fight the 3 heroes & then kicked some ass. We won a video card.

At California's Festival last April, it was much less glamorous. They had a small cramped room where you could go sign up with your friends, and try out Heroes Combat. They had multiple teams playing pretty much simultaneously, in order to facilitate the most number of people. Supposedly, for attempting the Heroes Combat challenge, you not only finished a prerequisite for the Live Quest (just a scavanger hunt), but you also earned a "Cordial Invite" which is used to initiate the Heroes Combat on your server, at the top of Delkfutt's Tower. It's a one time use item, but is not lost. Sort of like a KS or BC orb.

For participating in the Live Quest, which I thought you had to finish to earn, we also recieved a Chocobo Wand in-game item. There was some other interesting stuff, like a drawing for video cards, plushies, and other neat stuff.

I'll have my iPhone with me, so I'll try to post while I'm there, but no promises. Probably the best solution would be if I could email someone, and I'll post as I have updates during Dev Panels. Otherwise, I'm sure a ton of people will be there with notebooks, posting live. lol

Rocl, no the invites are like an orb. One orb for 6 people. Level cap is 60, no subjobs.

Unless you're talking about the Serpent General's battle .... I'm going to kick that thing's ass.

Double Edit:
The only reward is a unique experience, and earning the title, "Superhero." Which, I'm not sure where you can get that put back on once its off.

Sorta a Necro.... but I don't feel the need to start a new thread.
I am planning to do the Serpent General BCNM Soon and am wondering what, if any, the reards are for completing this battle in-game? and not at FanFest.

Also, Has anyone tried Heroes/Heroin/Special Assault 'orbs' either?
