Oops!... Salvage Blunders

Alright, so today I totally fucked up in Salvage, and I figured it'd be fun to have a thread for people to post things they screwed up while doing Salvage. Obviously I'll start:

I was on THF today, had my group killing Hammerblow and fleed to the porter. Completely distracted by something in real life, I ported us up without waiting for it to die (ended up being at 5% when they ported).


I know you guys screw up some time or another, so post it.

One of our group's early salvage runs (arrapago)...I was rdm, first magic, cure spamming like mad, not casting prot4/phalanx2 for whatever reason, basically just out of mp the entire time. Group didn't have hi pots and just kept charging into shit, they eventually all died to a lamia/qutrub or something (pathetic, I know). I didn't have rr up either because I sort of overestimated us, so I ended up running in circles while our magic-less whm traded me a reraise gorget that I realized I couldn't wear (no castellanus, I usually get it because of chapeau if it drops from the starter chest) right after he traded it. We wiped 20 minutes in and all home pointed, really sucked at the time but I kinda laugh at it now.

Recently I think I aggroed a lamia or two while we were sneaking past a ton of crap, didn't really make much of a difference but kinda felt stupid about it. Got the bard killed though.

I've seen our subjob cell get paralyzed in arrapago. Fun time

I can think a few time where I pulled too early, died or got people killed, but nothing really interesting. If I had to pick one, it would be my 2nd Zhayolm Mega a while ago. Told the group to stand on top of me, but I got the distance wrong (I was at 10.5 instead of 9.5). Both tank exploded 1min later screaming in pain, followed by the rest of the party soon after.

A few months back in Silver Sea, I was going to take my group to do CC but ported up the wrong side not paying attention. The whole point of the run was to get CC too; instead, we ended up killing LAC with the extra time XD

Where do I start...over the last 180+ runs:

*entered without everyone in the alliance about 3 times.
* left LL on and passed our only magic...in Arrapago.
* lost cells many times because someone lots mutliple cells with only 1 or 2 slots open. Everyone else passes, cell is lost.
* Once someone opened the wrong gilded door. He wasn't even supposed to be opening doors...they were too shiny and beautiful.
* somebody went through 3 humi cells without successfully using one due to para and accidentally passing
* Our first LBC, we wiped at 1% and it died to dots, so no drops.
* Vistani ported us up last Saturday with Hammerblow at 20%
* When we still direly needed Usukane boots, Vistani opened a can of whoop-ass and dropped the east flan before it went into spikes mode.
* The very next run, our summoner decided it would be cool to burst Thunderstorm on the north flan.
* The first time we popped the Bhaflau 3rd floor rampart, I didn't see it and ported up.
* Casting shellra to buff our party as the gear-train approaches our sac-puller thf.
* Prepping for the fomor train sac-pull by using counterstance within 20'.
* Accidentally switching to kraken instead of warp cudgel for Silversea Brainjack
* Running through the fomor apkallu room with yellow HP.
* The one time our samurai thought it would be cool to open a fight on a 2nd floor fomor monk with Gekko, and promptly got triple countered with his Soboro.
* Silencing a Ziz which leads to me getting hammer beaked for 1300 on the first floor.
* Vistani owning himself to blaze spikes when he melees madames while weakened.

Bad bad idea... I did this once on purpose on WHM... god did it suck... we would have almost failed - our THF finished it off while our other melee were already dead

lets see from my month and half or so:
-blm mpk'd everyone by aggroing QQA too soon who Aga III'd killing 4 including only whm that forgot RR.
-taking group up north-east porter on 2nd floor by mistake on LBC run so NO sjs for us; so wiped at like 18% cause of mp issues.
-had both melee lot 1st weapon and everyone passed 2nd out of chest slowed run bad.
-rng pulled mobs before any cells were called and linked 3 mobs in arra mpking himself and 2 others.
-person ported up 1 min late on run for 4F madame(person was 2/3) sucked soo bad.
-screwed up popping turtle like 3 times so far cause one person or another didn't listen.

when i was new to bhaflau we were on the first floor, I ported us up right after getting magic. totally forgot about backtracking for equip yeah, that kind of killed the run ;;

* 1st time bhaflau taking NE route on floor 2 following up with:
* getting to LBC without any STR cells, tanks half equipped and killing 0 gears on floor 4 and then:
* pulling LBC with elegy2 when you have 2 mnk/nin tanks, ya I died horribly
