I don't know why people don't like the luigi coin level. It was seriously the funnest I had with the purple coins and I got it on my 3rd try. Super easy. lol

As for the coins in the mansion.. god that level sucks ass.

I realized that and it still took me 40 lives =\.

The ghost house coins were a joke though. Just stay on the outside and get the super shroom ASAP and fly through it without a care in the world.

The ghost house is a pain because those blue gripping stars a pain in the ass + a short timer. I'd rather have there be 150 in that level then the luigi one.

Yeah, the ghost house coins is easy as hell..
Definitely more than 100 coins.

I don't understand why people are having problems with the rock boss. I killed him without the comet without getting hit once, so when the comet flew by it was just as easy. The hands are never a problem, just constantly stay on the move.

Now the luigi purple coin stage in the toy galaxy....oh dear God, the horror, the horror.

Hah, I got to him last night and had problems on Dare Devil. I tried alot of different things, and the technique that worked best was to get as close as possible. Doing it from further away will just mess you up.

Think its just the ghost one and luigi's purple coins if I am remembering correctly... didn't really have any trouble with any others.
Ghost one took me a few times but just going as quick as possible I got it pretty easily, Luigi's is just -_- though lol. I really enjoyed Dreadnought Galaxy purple coins, as annoying as it is its pretty fun because you can't miss a single coin or you lose XD.

Just those two and Gusty Garden Galaxy I believe.

The platforms respawn after a little while, so you can take your time at certain parts (like the thwomp).

The first time I got the 100 coins on Luigi Toy level, it hadn't quite dawned on me that I'd have to get back to the starting point. Definitely had some brick-shitting action going on when I made that realization and instantly knew that I had completely plowed every possible route back.

friday night I FINALLY beat the rolly-ball green star galaxy, that thing had been the bane of my existance since I unlocked the green galaxies. I think I'm up to 65 stars now. not sure if I want to beat the game, and then keep going on for the rest of my stars, or get the other 55 first. btw I dont even see where another 55 can be stashed. I'm up to the engine room, even if there's still another dome left, thats gotta have like 10 galaxies or something lol.

Someone said the purple coin comets don't unlock until you beat the game once, so u will have to beat it before finishing the 120 , I never took notice of that so not really sure.
Each of the multistar galaxies also have the 2 comet stars and the hidden star as well though so those add up.

A lot of the stuff in there is known/kinda pointless, but the Homing Ground Pound is something new to me, as is the Mario-Kart-like boost for Cosmic comets.

The Gusting Galaxy cube run also has 150 coins. I'm having a hell of a fucking time trying to beat that one. The luigi's purple stars level I didnt find that difficult. Took about 5 run throughs. The cube level, I can't fucking beat it.

For Gusty galaxy purple coins I just grabbed the ones that were quickest and most convenient, didnt waste time with the ones that took a bit of time to get. Had about 3 tries when I timed out after I got 100 before getting the star, but got it shortly after that.

This is what I did. Knowing that there are 150 makes you realize you can skip the hard ones. I was running around like a blithering idiot, but I did finish it first try with like 10 seconds left.

The hardest part about the Gusty Garden Galaxy Purple Coins was remembering which side the stupid Star popped up on when you got enough.
