I've been looking forward to it and it honestly lives up to the hype so far. It's everything I expected and then some. I've never understood when people say they get sick or disoriented playing games. Never happened to me on NES... or with parallax scrolling on SNES or anything 3D on N64. This is the first time where I actually get a little topsy-turvy feeling. I do enjoy it though and I often find my head cocked to one side or the other.

I think the Co-Star mode is brilliant. My wife freakin' loves it. It's incredibly helpful having her hold things or gather bits while I'm focusing on other things. I couldn't imagine it any other way really. I think the wife is more addicted than me. She never wants to put it down.

I got through about an hour and a half after I got home from work. It's the first game that's ever made me a little dizzy and gave me a headache. Hopefully it calms down a little bit in the later levels, because I love the gameplay and level design a ton.

EDIT: Someone earlier mentioned the TRU free $25 gift card thing. I got that deal because I wanted the card to send as an extra gift to some relatives with little kids. One of my co-workers decided to take his new Mario Galaxy and return it at a Walmart where they let him exchange it for Fire Emblem. He then went back to TRU, bought another copy of Mario, and used both of his gift cards to pick up Assassin's Creed. End result -> $110 dollars spent in exchange for Mario, Fire Emblem, and Assassin's Creed.

Is there anyway to control the comets or are you just forced to wait for the comit you want to appear at that level?

One of the bigger star guys in the main spaceship thing can move comets for a few star bits (w/e the hell they are called, I have a headache, can't remember all this stuff right now). I just do them whenever I see them though.

<3 this game so much. just finished the last star on the first galaxy and had to call it a night. would easily sit and play it all through if there weren't things to do. :D

Started playing again earlier tonight and grabbed like 3 more stars, the bee missions are pretty easy but they're fun heh...

All in all this game is freaking amazing..

55 stars collected now. The game is great! I'm no longer disoriented while playing it, but after stepping away, IRL is disorienting.

Taking a break from it also. I said it already, but AMAZING game. My favorite level so far is probably Rolling Green Galaxy, mirrors a Super Monkey Ball level faithfully without being quite as infuriating. I have 35 stars now...I don't see the game as incredibly long, but that's fine with me, and I imagine I'll still spend some time on the tougher stars. Game backlog am cry, they keep coming...

Meh even if it's not too long, it's one of those games you can just replay over and over without ever getting bored... it's mario ffs! :D

I've been playing for a few hours now and I gotta say I really enjoy it. I was wondering though how you "complete" a galaxy? Like the single star one from the Ray Surfing you get a complete thing but after getting the 3 stars shown on the others it doesnt say anything about completing.

after I get some writing done I'm jumping back in for a few hours tonight. curious how everyone is approaching the game. when I did my first run-through of Mario 64 I would collect stars in a level until I could unlock new levels, and come back for the "extras" later. is everyone just moving along as soon as a new galaxy opens up, or clearing them out entirely before moving forward?
