The thing is, anyone can do it. There's nothing to it.

Once people start thinking straight and stop saying that the economy dropping like a brick with lead wings is a bad thing, they'd be able to see that it's great. NPCing stuff and killing beastmen and gil drop nms is actually decent gil again. I can make a couple hundred thousands of gil in just a few hours at multiple zones, without having to go through the ah, or any other player based system, for gil.

Melee/THF can make almost 200k an hour in Lufaise Meadows through gil drops and npcing drops like Chameleon Diamonds, Tavnazian Livers, etc. You can also get shit for quests while you're at it.

The up side to these kind of income sources is that they get better as the economy drops.

lol, I know Ch.Diamonds actually npc well, but I really doubt 200k an hour.

You'd be surprised what you can make when you go on a homicidal killing spree for an hour straight (Not counting stopping to go npc shit). Gigas drop 100-200 gil per kill, stacks of Liver and Diamonds are easy to get, and hides and tusks are comon as dirt. It's really good gil that just gets better as the economy recovers.

And then they wouldn't care since you're giving them money.

This sort of thing would set off red flags. By law they have to watch out for tale-tell signs of stuff like money laundering, terrorism and drug trade. Asking for a constant stream of new credit card numbers would lead to the account being frozen and investigated.

That being said, PayPal actually offers a "virtual mastercard" now which is a randomly generated mastercard number tied to your PayPal account. Considering this, I guess the argument is moot, but banning the credit card used to make RMT accounts should be standard operating procedure really. It would at least slow them down.
