Pretty sure I read somewhere on BG a post about someone who tried cerb at lv 60. Apparently, melee were doing something like digit damage because def wasn't nerfed, and it still did GoH. They got raped. Might remember it wrong

That was me and it was pretty much as you described. Melee hits from my nin were around 8 dmg to cerberus and it used GoH and still summoned the elementals. Seemed to attack at the same speed and you lose a good 13% haste in gear at 60 cap. 60 cap is definately not the way to go.

Did this one a few times, always killing the moblin. Pull melee off it before 25% and let a blm nuke it to death from there. Pld/nin or nin/war will work just don't have them melee under 25% to stop it from getting tp. Doesn't seem to have any regain and even if one Fulmination goes off its not too bad with only one person to dump mp on.

Here are my notes on Bellerophon's. Our static has gone 1/2 for all the FLs except "Better than One". Cerberus has proven to be a real beast -- there's always a weakness in our job layout and Cerbie always seems to exploit it. Low on stunners? Cerbie spams Gates. Low on heals? Triple attack every other hit. Low on EL fighters? Summon them twice! If he would just miss the one hole we always have, we'd win. 0/5 on Cerb. ><


Ilrusi Atoll (Bhoy Yhupplo) - Bellerophon's Bliss 70/3-6 30m

WIN = Slay Martial Maestro Megomak and Khimaira 14X. Has draw-in.
FAIL = Run out of time.

Both link with each other. Mego does not draw-in, Khimaira does. Mego will use commands to order Khimaira to do TP moves. Mego has very little HP and will warp out and never return when he reaches 20% HP. The TP commands are not even remotely an issue by themselves, but could be a problem if he decides to do Fulmination via a roll.

Results: 1/2. Failure was with nin, nin, thf, mnk, cor, whm. Even with monk's roll, this setup feeds Khim too much TP. The fight was fairly smooth with very fast DD. The big problem was healer MP. The large number of damaging AEs really drained healer MP fast. Then when Fulmination hit at 25% (AE v.strong Paralyze, Stun, and 700 damage), we wiped an were unable to recover.

Success was with nin,thf,cor,blm,blm,whm. Nin was pure defensive with staff+defender+tacos and evasion skill gear. Ninja roll boosted evasion rate from 17% to 27%. THF tanked the goblin while BLMs tossed spells at it and Khim. Goblin was never a problem. DD was more of an issue with this setup, but was still more than sufficient. We wiped to fulmination again with ~10m remaining and Khimaira at 16%. THF was able to do draw-in kiting for 5m until we were unweak and able to fight again. We killed it with 60s remaining.

Note: Kimaira hojo'd rather easily after raiton effect applied (about 80% hit). All other debuffs were resisted. Also, it's important that BLMS in this configuration do NOT go wild on DD near the end and try for a quick kill. Slower and more conservative wins here. Focus on healing and recovery from AEs and slip in nukes when it's totally safe.

Attempted this again today; this time trying to leave the Moblin alive and have a THF go and hold him elsewhere. Khimaria's TP attacks didn't slow down at all. In fact, at one point we got floored because the tank got an unlucky series of hits and a bizzarely high-damage Toubwhatever that kileld him and then we all wiped in the middle due to Draw In; there was no hope of getting back up.

Again: Holding the moblin and not giving the Moblin TP did -not- slow down his dice rolls -or- Khimaira's TP attacks.

Despite having -just- used his TP when someone did get back up Khimaira used Thunderstrike to kill the weakened person who RR'ed. The goblin didn't perform a roll; Khimaira simply did a WS without any TP or promt from the Moblin; so he apparently has TP regen or something as long as the Moblin is alive?

Who knows.

My LS has decided that they no longer give a damn and I'm left on my own to finish my last Assault. Which I can't solo. So I guess I'm just screwed. *shrug*

Did this with 4 [BRD, WHM, PLD(/NIN), WAR/NIN], PLD pulled Khim and I soloed the Gob, then we both just bounced hate till it died. Did Fulm around 3 times I think, we just turned around and after some quick para's and cures started beating down it again. Went 1/1 .

Khimaira is tough miriet. I was gonna say, "Let me guess, you're melee'ing" then I saw that you were, so basically, stop melee'ing after 25%.

My assault crew did this one fairly easy, we went in killed the moblin via all melees tearing it apart (our set up was war rng pld blm rdm whm) so uhh 2 melees and a blm on the moblin. the whm and tank went for khim while the rdm stayed back and helped the moblin killing crew.

After the moblin was dead we basically chipped away at his health, stopped meleeing after any high amount fo dmg were given to the tank and then resume once we recovered. It used fulmination once... which my stun was resisted on so we ate it (i had no clue this thing resisted stun, i was comparing to normal khim)

After the fulm went off we killed it shortly after (after recovering by stopping tp)

I think the key concept on this fight is self control really, but do what works for you. Make sure all your mages are /whm and help with parylna and such also. I forget what my the exact number of damage that my nukes were doing, but they were sticking and doing nicely. I was using ice.

Goblin dead: Normal tp gain

Unless you just want to zerg it really fast with something like hundred fist, I cant imagine when you would want the goblin to be alive. It make the fight harder to control.

killed goblin then khimaera, aegis PLD(kilik)

used my wife's SMN and go with SMNx5 + 1 BRD

simply a walk over.........all 5 FL assault so easily won with 5 SMN+BRD imo (did all 5 with SMN PT on wife tags)

also killed goblin then khimaera
