Seriously. How is Bellerophon's Bliss winnable?

I really am sorry for making this topic but after multiple failed attempts I literally do not understand how this is winnable.

The other T10 Assaults weren't that bad but Ilrusi Atoll is singlehandedly preventing me from Captain and this has been going on for a long while.

HOW does one not get wiped by the Fulmination spam at the end? Barthundra, Lightning Carol, Earthen Ward/Diamondhide and Saline Coat's combined effects -still- don't protect us well enough and results in 700-960 damage to everyone. It hits me from the complete opposite side of the room. And when I try to cure the damage away theres no hope of whoever is tanking holding hate. The healer dies and then more Fulmination spam finishes the rest of the group off.

This has happened multiple times over multiple different set-ups. I really am just at a loss on how you deal with 3 Fulmination bursts in a row.

The only winning account of this fight I have is from a friend who reports "He just didn't use it." Is that seriously it? Just throw tags at it until he decided not to do it? Because thats about all I can figure. I really just don't understand what we can do.

Don't kill off the moblin, then Khim can only TP when he rolls the dice.

If Martial Maestro Megomak is dead, it will not use this move until it has 25% or less, at which time it will use this move as a regular TP attack.

Don't have any experience with this assault but that seems like it would help.

Interesting. So then I should have someone kite the moblin around or someone engage it and just hold him elsehwere? I hear that its possible to stun Khimaira as long as the Moblin is still involved in the fight. Can I stun the dice roll move by stunning either the Moblin or Khimaira? And how quickly can the Moblin spam dice rolls? Doesn't that require TP on his part?

I did it a while ago and I don't remember it doing more than a couple fulminations and I think the blm stunned all but one or something. Was really easy. We killed the moblin at the beginning.

Supposedly if you kill the Moblin it becomes impossible to Stun the boss. The failure of our Shield Bashes, Head Butts, Stuns, and Tachi: Hobaku would agree with this. Not trying to be a jerk or anything. I just don't understand how this could be easy.

Maybe its just bad luck but once our Khimaira reaches 25%ish health it completely stops using all other TP attacks and spams Fulmination. By the third blast of that its just Game Over.

Not killing the goblin seems like an interesting idea though.

I guess my group got lucky, we didnt see 1 fulmination.

Nin held martial maestro, 2 mnks on the khimaira whm blu drg.

For some reason our khimaira kept attempting to use plague swipes... about 10 attempts before it started to just use fossilizing and normal melee attacks. So i guess its all a matter of luck and what the moblin rolls.

We killed the moblin, then the thing did like 3 wses the entire fight, no fulm.

We had like pld, rdm, brd, 3x smn. Easy as cake.

First time we did this, we tried holding the moblin. We were I think NIN MNK WAR BLM RDM WHM (could have been NIN MNK MNK). We found neither the moblin nor khimaira to be stunnable. We wiped, reraised, and tried again with just under 10 minutes left, killing the moblin right off the bat this time and found it to be way easier, but just timed out before it had died (it was very low). Next day tried again MNK MNK BLM BRD RDM RDM and won easily, killing the moblin at the start again. Then we won a few days later MNK MNK BLM RDM WHM BLU for one of our static members (the run VZX is referring to, he killed the moblin in that run) who couldn't make the first winning run. For us killing the moblin was better, since it seemed he would give khimaira TP at a rate faster than our MNKs would if Khim gained TP normally, at least that's what I attribute our subsequent successes to. In our first win, one MNK held khim while myself and the other MNK killed moblin at the start. In the 2nd win both MNKs were on Khim while VZX and I killed Moblin at the start. I'm pretty sure I'm remembering jobs right for the 2nd and 3rd runs.

Hm, maybe we didn't stun any then, but I only remember one or 2 fulminations going off.. was pretty easy.

I don't know what to tell you. It may have been easy for you but I guess when you don't get TP moved then, well, yeah. It would be....Taking a grand total of 3k damage (party total) due to Fulmination and then having it happen twice more isn't what I'd call easy. But I guess mileage will vary here.

I had the same experience as Kuno (I was in a different group though). Went in, killed the Moblin, and Khim didn't do Fulmination once.

I've done this several times, both killing and not killing the moblin, and seen Fulmination both ways. Moblin and Khim are both completely immune to stun spell as far as I could tell.

If you have such hugh hate problems with fulm rest to full before 25%, let your whm sub NIN and spamm around Curagas while you try 2hr zerg it.

Cor Nin Blu Blm Rdm Whm

I was corsair that round and Barthundra (AND) magic defense bonus really really really helps to nerf all attacks from khimaira. (correct me if i'm wrong <.<) ate like 2 fulms for maybe 200 to the blu nin and myself, the second fulm i had m.def off and ate a 1100 fulmination

The only issue was time near the end, took 27 min, but nobody died, MP was always high, BLM was always kiting =p

i'm sure the smn strat would work better <_<
