This movie looks like shit. Maybe the worst CG I've ever seen for a movie that had a budget to cover CG.

Relating this film to the actual Anglo-Saxan poem of Beowulf is like saying that the Lord of the Rings movie is an accurate representation of human history - not the Peter Jackson movies, the Ralph Bakashi animated one.

This looks like utter trash and, as a historian and someone with an actual interest in pre-Norman England, I hope it and its producers/writers burn in hell with a severe case of AIDS.

People seriously are going to watch this film? I think I took an angry dump the first time I was subject to watching the previews for this movie...as others before mentioned, I don't understand the entire CG-take. I'd rather spend that money getting a chipotle burrito to fuel myself for a secondary angry dump when the announce Beowulf 2 next Summer.

Just came back from the watching it overall i would say it's enjoyable as long you don't have high expectation of it. Angelina jolie isn't that naked in the movie in case anyone is wondering haha

To be honest, when I first saw the trailer in the theaters, I thought this was a "300" type movie where it was a bunch of actors doing everything in front of a green screen. When I started to see the trailers on the T.V., however, I immediately noticed that the movie was, in fact, pure CG, and fairly shitty looking CG at that.

Kind of a shame since they obviously modeled all the characters off their actors, would've prefered to have seen it done 300 style.
