If people want to make real statements against the patriots, when it becomes apparent they're not winning no matter what, toss in their absolute worst guys, put a DT that never sees the field regardless in at QB, etc, and laugh as the pats beat themselves up meaninglessly just like they were going to do anyway.

Seriously, I dislike the Patriots as much as anyone else, but changing the score from 42-10 to 49-10 has no effect on the outcome of the game whatsoever. Every single person on the field is a professional athlete, they should not be losing sleep because they lose by an additional 7 points (even moreso when it will be called a rout in either result). People all year have expected the Patriots to shit all over every other team they've played (except maybe the Cowboys?) and people still whine about it when it comes true.

I think the biggest story this week is that Grossman had no INTs! Even though he had a fumble.

At my cheating comment? I never said anything about them cheating, I meant don't bring up the argument of people bringing up the cheating to do this stupid shit.

Mike Dikta and people who think this way are fuckin idiots and are the reason I hate cocky SoBs.

With my statement of I hate cocky SoBs isn't an arguement it is a statement. I never set myself out to convince you, lol. I don't really care what you or anyone thinks, oh wait I am going to lose sleep over this tonight shit...

From my personal experience in sports, people had enough respect for another team when they are up, by enough, to not run up the score. I guess it is the difference between a person having class and not.

I am about to go into Nyzul, I will either forget about this thread or just go to sleep. So I guess just ignore all my posts from now on out.

if a player or team is scared of having the score run up against them, they have no business taking the field. its not pretty but it happens, and it's something that will always happen. its just happening a lot more this year because the patriots are leaps and bounds ahead of the majority of teams in the nfl. seriously, it happens to EVERYONE, even the patriots. i remember them losing 38-0 like 4 or 5 years ago against the bills and no one really gave two shits about it. if a team is gonna win big, the difference between 3 and 7 points is arbitrary, even if it means going for it on 4th down.

i think it usually hurts the fans a lot more than it hurts the players / coaches

when does it stop being running up the score? When they knee the ball whenever they have it after they are up by 28+? Why should a team stop playing hard when they are up? It's so difficult for me to fathom that this is even a topic of discussion in a league full of grown men being payed millions of dollars per year.

Why can't the patriots go for 4th and 1 on the opponent's 2 in the early part of the 3rd quarter? Will a field goal really be more "sportsmanlike"? Such a liberal "self-confidence, make the other team feel good about themselves even while you win" attitude is so stupid in a league like this.

Never had a problem with the score, but keeping brady in when they were up 30=something was absurd. He pulled him pretty early this game.

Upsetting me in the process because he only had 54ish fantasy points. =[

Lets find something new in the NFL to complain about every week. Like how annoying Terry Bradshaw is.

I thought it would have been amazing (and a wonderful show of sportsmanship) if Brady and Moss had just showered and dressed up in suits at half time. Then at the start of the second half they'd sit at the sideline and eat a delicious steak dinner with their respective girlfriend/wife, all the while watching the Bills feebly try and make up the 28 point deficit those two put them in.

Dunno why, but I think the photo is pretty cool.

Man, my fantasy football week was crazy. I played Tyr in the BG league, and was the underdog according to the projected scores (first time this season). I think I was around 50 points down or so going into tonight's Pats game. Brady scored 54.

    10-1 now.

Yeah.. I was only down ~15.. and then Brady got me 54. D: I still have Lendale White playing too, assuming he starts tomorrow. I know he got hurt, so it's up in the air. Shooting for the top score of the week again..woo. D:

Went 12/15 this week so far on picks. Assuming the Titans can wrap it up tonight I'll be 13/16 for the week, not bad...

Absolutely cosign on this. Hester is a beast at what he does. He's the best return man since (at least) Mel Gray, and I think he may even be better...

"Anytime" is the complete package, and his explosive runs are some of the best to watch.

God, I got rocked this week in my fantasy league...I played against TO, LT, Andre Johnson, and Kurt Warner ._.

Ben had a disappointing game, WESTBROOK had a disappointing (read: no TDs) game against the frigging Dolphins. In fact, the only person on my team who did anything yesterday was Housh, and fortunately, he's been reliable all season.

I drop to 9-2 and second place in my league, but at least I already clinched a playoff spot.

I wonder how much truth is in this statement. I BET HE DOES!

I have both Brady and T.O. on my team for my LS's league. I'm only 9-2 though ; ;. Both of my losses were against the high scorers of the particular weeks (one of which was 131-132 >.<!).
