Just as a point of information, I worked as a merc. for Heroes/Heroine combat, so if you're interested - over the course of the 2 days:

10+ groups beat Hero's Combat.
only 5 beat the Heroine's Combat.
and only 1 group beat the Mercenary Camp.

Setup was galkaRDM/mithraBLM/taruWHM/humeWAR/humeTHF/elvaanMNK. Lvl60 no subjobs, but pretty pimp equip (except AF and a few other exceptions). While working at heroes/heroine combat for 8 hours or so, it was pretty hilarious watching some of the battles.

Edit: http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/7007 is the body armor with acc/eva bonuses activated by pamamas.

I was in one of the groups that beat the Hero's Combat. We were wondering how many beat the 3 Hero vs the 2 or 1 Hero.

This is the daughter of a good friend of mine. They did this a few years ago for her for Halloween. Hung out with them quite a bit during the festival and did LiveQuest with them, really cool people and a really cute girl.

Bagel/My group did heroines, and it was kinda a joke. We had Prishe/Ayame/Curilla as the 3. As I'm to understand it, you can get shantotto who just spams -ga III and that maybe accounts for the lower success rate there. Overall good times, and good people.

Some of the cosplayers are pretty good actually. The Dancer AF was nice (thank you for being attractive and doing that costume) and the BLM Relic outfit is nicely detailed.

So yesterday started out foggy. God, I love weather other than SUN SUN SUN. Like anyone cares.

Trust me, I understand. It's November fucking 19th and it's fucking 87 degrees. I'm going back to MN, AZ is dumb.

I'm not sure I'd be able to go to one of those fan festivals. I've always liked video games, I've just never really been into the whole "Nerd culture" thing. I wish I could enjoy it, but I probably would be bored. Looks fun for everyone that went, though. How much did you guys end up spending on the whole event? Was IGE respresented?
