It makes sense that BST would be a good tank because they certainly have the gear to do fantastic damage (even more so with /WAR and Berserk/DA), whose wonderful enmity will now be transfered to their pet.

it's certainly interesting but it'd depend on the cool down on the hate transfer and reward because iirc jug pets make horrible tanks for IT stuff >_>.

From what I read, the Enmity transfer only works for jug pets.
Jug pets don't quite stack up to an even match mob
Tons of pet food 'may' help though.

Jug pets rarely stack up to a DC mob...but if you can stick hate on them, they've got a decent chunk of HP to burn through. Some of the original Tiamat tanks were jug pets if I recall >_>

Reward also generates enmity towards the pet, so PLD-ish tanking could be possible.

If the Reward timer is dropped appropriately...and pet food can be stacked to 99 or quivered in some fashion, could certainly work. I wouldn't say for sure, but it's gonna be fun to have a new trick up our sleeves in any case.
