FFXI Plot-holes and unclear issues

I like to write stuff. Short stories, long stories, screenplays, w/e one of my little side projects I've been doing to entertain myself has been FF11 related. I don't want to call it fan fiction though it may be. Basically I've been adapting FF11 story missions but instead of a nameless adventurer with little involvement other than being an errand boy, it centers around an actual person.
All I have right now is a hastily put together summary of the story and I'm not even sure if I'll put any more into it given that it's not an original work of mine, but I was looking for a few people who have a decent knowledge of FF11 lore to give it a quick read through to make sure I didn't mess a bunch of stuff up given that adapting the story caused me to trim, combine, add and erase certain details in the story.
Original game and Zilart expansion story takes up 16 single spaced Word pages. I have CoP about 3/4 done and that's about 9 pages long atm.
But like I said, it's pretty bare. It's pretty much just a summary of what happens and some key dialog. original characters don't even have actual names yet, just placeholder names.

Storyline-wise are Voidwalkers and Voidwatch NMs the same thing?

no.

Voidwalkers are from Abyssea, as is explicitly explained by Assai Nybaem, who is himself from Abyssea.

Voidwatch fiends are of an unknown origin. And neither Cait Sith nor King Kupofried, supposed seasoned dimension travelers, have been able to breach the rifts and figure out where they're from for the past 3 VW chapters..

if you're also wondering why then voidwatch uses the items abyssite, they're just a name and a relic of their old naming convention used for abyssea. abyssite in japanese are called 'jade', and for VW, that 'jade' is carried forward here as well.

Does this also apply to Abyssean VNMs or is it like everything else in Abyssea where a wizard did it?

Abyssean VNMs are just monsters that are concealing themselves and are drawn out by abyssite according to the NPCs in Abyssea.

I also really enjoyed the fact for Visions and Scars they were residents of Promyvion and Al'Taieu respectively, being that Promyvion and Al'Taieu in Abyssea are the most fucked up thing ever (in fact, would Promyvion even technically exist?)

There is not enough information for us to draw any conclusion one way or another.

I think it is for the best if we just pretend that the add-on scenario stories never happened.

ACP pisses me off to no fucking end because it could have resolved the very first hanging plot thread to which we were introduced in this game: Aldo and Emaline. Instead they went with a "it's all a fucking dream" cop out. My characters have been trying to tell Aldo that his sister lives in Weaver's Guild in Selbina and goes by the name Mathilde for years now, WHY WON'T HE LISTEN TO ME?!

This is why I've started to believe that SE intentionally fucks things up because even a simple resolution to a hanging plot couldn't be executed properly.

There's 4 possible scenarios for Shantotto I think.

1) Lilith's timeline, which is one parallel dimension.
2) Abyssea
3) wherever the heck the Planar Rifts lead to
4) an entirely different place.

Promyvion would have existed before the events of the CoPfail but I just ran with the idea that the empty escaped from Promyvion shortly before the crystals went skyward after the crags vanished.

As for the sea mobs? A wizard did it.

So doing Rank 5 on a mule for airship access, I saw something I don't think I ever saw an answer too.

In the Windurst part Ajido-Marujido asks the Yag Avatar what the "stones they keep digging" are. But none of the rest of the missions bar one fight have Yagudo in them. Was this line ever followed up on?

Not sure exactly which CS you're referring to, but are they just talking about the magicite? Weren't all the beastmen races digging them up?
