RELIC WEAPONS - New weaponskills are being added in the new expansion, and when they do so, they will go back and revamp the relic weapon skills to keep them the 'paragon' skills. When I asked this question, they took quite a bit of time to formulate a response, so it did definitely hit a nerve.

Yeah, that's actually pretty awesome. Wonder what they'll start looking like now.. and what of the new weaponskills.

I'm sure they'll look the same, the damage output may differ.

The best thing they could do to the relic WS's without ruining them is

a) Turning them all into multihit WS (preferably 3 or more)
b) Changing their mod from 3.0 (like it is now) to 5.0 (like sidewinder) or even higher.

c) Giving all of the relic WSs mods than mean a damn. If I ever get a Gungnir my Geirskogul had better take advantage of all that STR I have for every single other WS, and do it even better, not use lolAGI.

No time my ass. They said they were going to make it back in the summer.

I think I'd prefer that the Dev team stayed focus on perfecting the new content for WotG and keeping the promised release date rather than taking time out to film the perfect AV takedown.

my take on it is that they just trusted the devs previously and would parrot 'oh its beatable' but when the promise a video and actually try to beat it they realized how messed up it is. 'They need extra time' to me means they have now really tried, and maybe they haven't won yet ^^

AV's drops along with the knowledge that if the strategy to defeat him isn't executed right you will be met with fiery, Chainspell Meteor'd doom prove to make it an enjoyable change of pace.

Provided we actually do manage to gather some way of defeating him from the fanfest/video that they promise to eventually post, that is.

And after all the expansions and all the new jobs have been released, SE will use their ultimate timesink weapon: New race. They'll add manthras, make them playable, and now all those people who levelled 30 jobs to 75 can now do it all over again on a new manthra character.

The secret to AV is that some group on some server has to hold it with bards and level 1s for 20+ hours, then give up.


After that its 2 hours will be lockable on 5 servers for the next month only.

I have an extreeeeeemely crappy voice recording of most of the interview, but if you turn the volume up you can listen to Koji Fox's translations from the dev team. I forgot to bring a voice recorder, so I pretty much could only record it with my Treo.
